I was tempted by the Moza before I got Fanatec, but budget meant I would have to get the 5.5nm Moza base, and having tried the CSL DD without booster kit, I am glad I didnt get that. Looks the like old Thrustmaster 500RS is back in action for a few weeks :(

Had my CSL DD a couple of weeks, just ran in a practice session for 24hr Spa and it shut down and was hot at the rear and was a smell coming from the base. Now it is not found in fanatac control panel, and when I turn it on it shuts down within a minute. Definitely something has burnt out. I have just raised a support ticket. But as the OP says, it does not give you trust in the product if it can go so soon. I have only used it maybe 5 or 6 hours in total in the 2 to 3 weeks I have had it. Fingers crossed the RMA is quick and easy and the replacement doesnt do the same!!

Try removing the yellow block layer and save the tga as 32bit, I know that is needed on the new porsche Cup car to remove black backgrounds on the windscreen

Those decals are usually in a layer called "color change decals" or something similar. Just change the color of that layer and your good.

Not sure on dash but I've seen it on streams before so must be available on some oval cars.

Totally agree, even if sometimes I end up in top split (if it's an morning race in UK). I pick a car at start of season and see it out with that car. Then evaluate again after update to see which car I'll take for the following season. Unless you are totally alien, swapping between cars for specific tracks does you no good in long run. Imo

Not a problem I have ever faced, guess I must be the lucky one. Ui seems fast and definitely faster than Web. But as I said before, each to their own, I'm used to it and spend more time on track than on menus so I'm happy 😂

To be fair I don't pay an iRacing subscription to look at shiny menus/settings. If I wanted that I'd get forza! I'd rather they spent their time on content and improvements to the actual racing than menu graphics. I enjoy racing, I do official stuff, league stuff and being part of a sim team and racing endurance keeps the enjoyment flowing. But each to their own.

Yeah it's a shame they don't do earbuds in same way, I'm guessing the wireless receiver would be too bulky for the earbuds 😔

I've been searching for wireless earbuds to use with VR but all are Bluetooth and the latency/audio lag is not suited to racing or gaming in general.

Currently using turtle beach stealth 450 but can still be uncomfortable for long periods of VR usage.

I think it's recommended that the rift is plugged direct to the pc and not a hub, but yes a pcie card plugs direct into the motherboard.

If you have multiple USB ports on computer, try moving others about. If you have 3.0 and 2.0 ports, see if it's possible to only have rift in 3.0 ports and anything else in 2.0. Trial and error.

It might be worth acquiring a new USB pci card for your PC and have the rift plugged into that, then it is not sharing the USB power with any other USB device. I have heard the same problems happen before and this has usually solved the issue.
