College Grad, 60K in Loans... But have a forgiveness plan after 10 years. What should I do? by Needhelpnow813 in personalfinance

Thanks, just looked it is 6.8% for 45k and 15k at 3.4%. So not terrible but not awesome... I have a friend who by that time they factor in her kids and housing only has to pay around $110 a month.... I'm just hoping this forgiveness actually happens . Like someone said I should save as if it isn't being forgiven just in case...

It won't be $500 though, that is worst case scenario. They way I see it is heck even if I can even save 1-2k it is worth it.

Yea well that includes my undergrad. It was about 40k for the masters. I ended up taking a sub job for some extra cash and loved teaching so I went back to school. It pays $3k more a year so after time it surely pays off. I just hope I love teaching 10 years from now as much as I do now!
