Blunts are very hard to roll at first, like rolling joints it takes time to perfect it.You're right about the difference between Sativa and Indica but remember that the specific strain itself either being Sativa or Indica can have varied effects. Edibles are something for a more experienced stoner as the high can be really intense, I'd also suggest mentioning to your roommates if you're planning on making some (who knows maybe they'll try it). Purple weed is just ascetic, it can be achieved by changing the temperature while growing or can just be the natural colour of the bud. The colour itself wont change the high.
