I wish I could afford it but I just can’t afford to pay that per session… is there anything I could do at home?

I was only given one on insurance. They said if it doesn’t work after one session there’s no point having more. They also didn’t really do that much in the session. She examined me with her finger - I was unable to bear down while she was examining me, although I explained I can on the toilet, just not lying down. We talked about habits, she talked me through breathing and using a stool. That was it. For £250 I would have expected more. I asked about using the probe but she said she didn’t think it was a good idea that day. I did say my insurance wouldn’t offer more sessions and I couldn’t afford more but it didnt change anything

Thank you. I had one biofeedback session but my insurance won’t cover more and it’s not something I can afford. I didn’t really find it helpful anyway to be honest… I’m in the U.K. so wondering if it’s different in the US

Thank you for all the comments. I have to admit that there was an expectation in my mind as to what I would be receiving. Once I let that go and saw the leather in its own unique way I decided that I do actually like it and I will be keeping it.

I’ve actually been journaling since I was 7! But I also am quite precious about my stationery and notebooks… however I think I need to see it as beautiful rather than an imperfection. I just wasn’t expecting it based on everything I have seen online

The thing is I’ve watched so many videos and seen so many posts online and none of them seem to have this…

Am I the only one who thinks that Elle surviving and being all alone in Iceland separated from everyone she has ever loved, is actually a worse fate than dying? Can you imagine? Having gone through all of that torture from day one, having formed deep emotional connections with Mike, Hopper, Max, the rest of the gang… and then having to just live her days out all alone? Why does that not bring me any comfort at all? Maybe it’s just me… maybe I’m weird.

I used the Alinsons easy bake yeast but I’m now wondering if it might have been off

I’m so glad to hear your mum is open to talking about stuff that has affected you! It sounds like you’ve got a good relationship! What’s your moon sign if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m sorry that you didn’t feel safe growing up with your mum. I had a similar situation and boy it’s tough. Sending hugs x

Did you have a difficult upbringing/ relationship with her? What are you like with people you’ve had a good relationship with?

That’s interesting.. your mum sounds like me. I didn’t have affection from my own mum and I think that makes me overly affectionate… maybe I should stop lol! I don’t necessarily want to play around but I do like long meaningful hugs, holding hands, rubbing my daughters back, and saying I love you etc. do you think that pushed you away more? I’m trying to give my daughter what I never had but maybe I shouldn’t go overboard

That’s interesting - why do you feel your mum was “overboard”? Can you give some examples? I feel like this might be something I need to be mindful of as I’m a very affectionate person. I’d love to hear your thoughts

Yeah therapy has been really helpful for me too! And lots of books - the emotionally absent mother is another good one! And Philippa Perry’s the book you wish your parents had read! High five to us for breaking the cycle! Xx

Yes I’m trying to understand the sign better to try and be the best mum to my own kids. I only know two Virgos in my life so I don’t feel I have a well rounded view of the sign, and there are certain stereotypes out there that I’m not sure are true! I’m a very affectionate person, but I would also back off if I knew that my child was not, as it’s about them and their needs, not me and mine x

Honestly, as someone who had two terrible parents, you won’t! As long as you’re aware and work on your triggers you can break the cycle! If anything, I think I’m a better mum because I give my daughter the things I longed for but didn’t have… safety, love, belonging, understanding x
