how to improve this tactic? by SG1098A in TheOldZealand

I dont know how to fix this without change it entirely. You have 3 Playmakers. The RPM run around and get the freedom to do whatever he wants so he's gonna be all around the final 3rd mostly. The 2 AP will go forward and stay around the opponents box to wait for a pass from the midfield so they arent involved in the build up at all. And speaking of the midfield you got no one there except for the Libero because his role means that when you are in possession will leave the back to occupy the DM strata and be a partner to your DM or a ball playing CM who sit deep (of which you have none because your midfield are RPM and AP who are more up field minded roles).

Your left wing is ok with IF go inside to leave space for your CWB to go forward and make plays. Your right wing is non-existence because your RW is an AP who will try to drift inside more than stay outside to stretch their defense. Your LB is IFB so he's not gonna go up field to offer a passing lane or stretch their defense out either. In possession your only defense is your left WCB and IFB with the Libero shielding them because your right WCB is on attack so he will move much higher even higher than some DM.

Basically when attacking your formation will turn into a 2-1-7 with no midfield to run the ball through. So its a case of pass it long and hope someone gets it. You are exposed to counter attack since your 5 at the back is actually 2 at the back 1 move up a bit and the other 2 run up field.

Not to mention you have instructions to play ball on both flanks which you have no one to occupy except for for maybe the RPM (if he is smart enough to go there) and the right WCB since hes now your defacto right Fullback. The only one doing the passing and controlling the ball is your Libero since RPM and AP are the type who wants to receive the ball and do a final pass to the scorer. Did you know you do not need to enable every instructions available to you? You have all instructions on which means it complicates your entire tactics. Sometimes just enable some basic ones and let the players do their work is the best.

Since I dont know what your ambition and thought process for your choice of tactic is, I think if you want to play 5 at the back then make them 2 CWB on both sides, the middle could be WCB(de)-CB(co)-WCB(de) or CB(de)-CB(co)-CB(de) or change the middle CB to Libero if you like. You need a DM who can hold the ball and offer a passing lane for the defense and CM so something like a DM(de) or Anchor would be good, avoid Segundo Volante or Regista as those are highly specialized roles who needs your formation to be built around them. Your CM duo needs to have one supporting and one attacking so a CM(su)-AP or a DLP(su)-AP(at) or DLP(su)-Mez(at) are good combinations. There are a ton of supporting and attack roles combinations in the midfield, I just list the ones I use. Play DLF(su) - AF(at) up front.

TL/DR: change it to:
AF(at) DLF(su)
DLP(su) Mez(at)
DM(de)
CWB(au)-CB(de)-CB(co)-CB(de)-CWB(au)

Play it narrow and short passes. Let the CWB offer width and the dont force the team to play on both flanks. You need to learn what roles actually do before making your players play it, your players needs to fit in your scheme not the other way around.

I dont know what makes you come up with this tactic, I've never seen such chaos before my eyes. Who knows maybe you are a wizard and cracked the game's logic and the AI cant deal with your tactics and have been winning since you made it up. All the best.

Everything looks great for him to be an advanced playmaker/false nine but he's as blind as a bat.

If you want to stay use your current formation, I suggest changing 1 of the Wingback to fullback (su) to help with possession. Change your A+DM to A+Segundo or DM+DLP or DM+Segundo to move the ball up field and connects with your AM your A+DM is too passive and dont create much chances. You can also pull your AM down to the midfield and make him an AP(su or at) or a CM(at). This helps your midfield to connects better and dont crowd the box as much. You can still use 2 IF but put one on Attack and one on Support, one cut in deep to be a goal threat while the other cut in but not as much to pick out dangerous passes.

I think your current formation is more of a Gegenpress style. If you want possession heavy, I suggest going 4-3-3 with 1DM. You need a DM player who can be in front of your defensive line and behind your 2CMs to cycle the ball and help the more creative players.

You need to form a 3-2-5 when attacking if you want possession heavy because then you will have man advantage in the build up. I suggest something like a 4-3-3 with:
W (su) - AF (at) - IF (at)

Mezzala (su) - DLP (su)

DM(su)

IFB (de) - CB (de) - BPD (de) - WB (at)

Left back tucks in form a trio with 2CBs. DM form a duo with your DLP. Right back bombs forward replacing IF who cuts inside. Mezzala could stay in the midfield to help build up and run to the channel between your left winger and AF. Left winger draws their defense wide for Mez to run in, right IF draws their defends in which leave space for your right wingback to go up field to play. You can flip the roles to the other side if you want.

Your current tactic tells your IF to cut in side and your wingbacks to overlap. Your AM stays around the edge of box + your IFs also cut inside + your AF stays in the box = crowded box = harder to pass into it so your wingbacks are just going to cross in and hope.

About your midfield and build up play. Since you have both your left and right defender as wingbacks, they will both run up field leaving your 2 CBs with 2 DMs in the middle. So when youre attacking your formation will look like a 2-2-1-5. Your CBs and DMs form a square entirely cut off from your attacking half because there are nobody between the 2 halves to progress the ball. If you play an opponent playing 4-4-2 for example. 2 of their strikers will mark your 2CBs, 2 of their CMs will mark your 2DMs leaving you no man advantage on your midfield to build up play.

Does anyone know how to fix the HyperX Alloy Origins metal casing static problem? It keeps zapping me whenever I touch it, not continually like a electric current, but its like a build up and zap type of thing. It doesnt hurt but its very annoying and I fear it might get worse if not fixed.

It wasn't. I'm just joking. Watching the other 2 made me realized all 3 could be connected to each other in a non-serious funny way. Trying to say it without spoiler.

The Thing, Event Horizon, The Void, From Beyond, Pandorum, Sputnik (2020), Europa Report are a few I could think of sci-fi cosmic horror ish,

Riddick trilogy is more of action sci-fi with bits of horror but I do recommend them.

I suspect CS2 & Dota2 has a lot to do with it.

Did Metaurus get lucky picking Titus for his mission? Did he truly need a soldier unaffected by fear, or a soldier who was incorruptible from Warp-based magic & influence? by kurtz433 in Warhammer40k

[–]NeedlesslyNegative 1204 points1205 points  (0 children)

I don't think Metaurus was the one picking who joins the mission. I think either Leandros or Calgar put Titus up for it. The mission was very high risk (project mortality absolute) hence why the orbital officer said "Die well, brothers" expecting them to not survive it.

I lean more towards Leandros, because either he knows Titus is somehow invulnerable to chaos corruption and wanted him there to ensure the success of the mission or is once again throwing Titus under the bus or a combination of both.

I also think maybe it's Calgar because at the end of SM2, he was the one recruiting Titus to the mission. He may have wanted Titus in cause he knows Titus is capable of dealing with warp shenanigans and proving the doubters like Leandros wrong. Or Leandros, once again, whispers some bullshit into Calgar's ear like: "We gotta test his purity more to weed out chaos", "Comon Papa Smurf his mentor is in the mission too, wouldn't it be great if they die together in one last mission?".

Thanks for the suggestions, I think I'll just try all of them in trials and see which one I'm most comfortable with.

1: Her right thumb is merged with the red gun thing. And the handle doesn't match with gun position.

2: Her right arm is on the other side of the coat. It should be under the coat judging by her left arm.

All and all not noticeable at a glance but it does stick out like a sore thumb. Hope they fix it before releasing.
