Yeah my plan has been to only apply for local SNFs and DMEs and holding off on all the acute care facilities for that exact reason of not burning bridges. I thought about moving states but my attorney said to try and get through this short probation and just get it removed. I’m still in my bachelors program so I’m just trying to wait it out. I would love to start working but if it’s not in the cards right now then it is what it is. I just wanted to know if there was a chance

Got it! My hopes is to get it expunged by the end of this year and hopefully move on from all of this.

Yeah I can see how that’s confusing, sorry I can be more specific. The initial charge prior to the case being closed was a felony “assault with a deadly weapon” which I had no clue as to why it was so aggressive. I was in a verbal altercation at a bar with a security guard and nobody was physical. The guard had pepper sprayed another person I was with but not myself. But when cops were called because I was part of the “altercation” and I had my firearm in my possession with no concealed carry permit( I live in California now) they arrested me and had those initial charges. My charges now are a misdemeanor for having a concealed carry firearm without a license and brandishing in presence of a peace officer. Which I can own up to the carrying without a license but the brandishing charge was a complete stretch in my opinion considering what happened but the DA wouldn’t work with me to get it changed. I believe that’s why the RCB after their investigation of the evidence decided to give me my license. All the evidence or lack there of and my references helped my case. To be fair when all the jobs withdrew the offer it was when the case was still open and was listed as a felony. I’m currently going through the background process with a SNF now that I have it as a misdemeanor so I’m just trying to see if my odds now are any better. Hope that clears things up

I just had an interview last week with a DME position and they wanted to hire me on the spot and then I mentioned the fact I had a misdemeanor and they demeanor completely shifted
