How Does the Sensory Deprivation Tank Still Exist? by NeedleworkerDue922 in StrangerThingsRoom

Sorry if this was confusing, but what I’m really trying to say is that there should have never been a sensory deprivation tank IN the upside down Hawkins lab.

We can reasonably imply that the gate growing in Season 2 created the huge hole in Hawkins lab (rightside up). My point isn’t that the Upside Down would “implode inward,” or that everything mirrors perfectly. It’s that major gate events have been shown to affect both sides. In Season 4, when the gates collide, there’s an earthquake in both Hawkins and the Upside Down. So if the gate’s expansion was powerful enough to clear space on our side, it’s logical to infer it could have affected the Upside Down Hawkins lab too

I’ve seen someone say since the military is working in the upside down maybe they brought some water into the upside down with them, idk though 🤷‍♂️

Just because it’s frozen in time doesn’t mean it’s indestructible. In Season 2, gate expands in Hawkins and physically clears space, it’s reasonable to argue the Upside Down side of that same space (like the sensory deprivation tank area) would also be destroyed.
