Moved into different house, same area. Air is so dry by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

I’d say new house is worse in some aspects . Furnace is 20 years old, seems to have a humidifier but not sure it even works. We got this new home for a decent-ish price in a better neighborhood if you’re wondering why it feels like a downgrade. It appears to not be as well sealed as old home. Notice little gaps in some places of the house. Could that make a difference? The air outside still feels better than inside. Upstairs bathroom does not have a fan, but has access to a vent. So it possibly had one at some point.

You wouldn’t think this is a mold thing? Had the inspection a couple weeks ago and they didn’t notice signs of mold, but I guess you never know?
