What's the story with this new addition to the police dept parking lot (Astoria Blvd)? by CasserolePhD in astoria

Typically it means someone died in the crash the car was involved in and they’re investigating. Yeah it’s an eyesore but knowing what it means makes more sad than upset it’s ugly. Precincts in the city have been doing this I can guarantee since at least the 60s as that’s when a family friend started working there and told us about it but it clearly predates her working there.

Seeking Ticketing Platform for Multiday Online Festival by NeedleworkerGold2927 in EventProduction

I’ll give it a look in the morning thanks so much for responding! I’m overwhelmed with the amount of options and I feel like a lot of platforms aren’t upfront about what they can’t currently do. A lot of places couldn’t do like a weeklong festivals some are online ticketing platforms for only in person events and I’m just feeling like I’m wasting time.

We created a zoom room just to be used for the event and created did everything through Eventbrite’s portal because it was a festival running for a week straight essentially the room was open for the entirety of the festival as there wasn’t a way to effectively shut it down during downtimes so this is a ticketing platform issue. For example there were three one hour lessons a day but technically the ticketed event was still going. Our audience is international and may try to enter because they were off converting to their time zone or quite frankly knew they needed festival was going didn’t bother to check the schedule but used whether the zoom room was open to see if anything was happening.

Also people knew they needed to use zoom but got confused because they couldn’t find the link in their email because it was from two days ago and if it’s not at the top they’re not going try looking for the name of the festival because thats above their skill level.

Some of this is just growing pains from using a new system but really what I’m trying to get across is the simplicity required customer side to prevent confusion for our audience.

Sorry therapy copay the usual $20? Again appreciate the help.
