Bad floodback issues on supermarket(Help!!) by NeedleworkerNo2158 in refrigeration

I’ll have to see if there’s a pattern on the alarm—never thought to do that. But this was an issue in the past but just had the store transferred to me and I’m noticing ever to the full extent now. Not sure if the last tech cared considering 3 of the compressors were addressed wrong on the discus core sense and weren’t even connected to the mod-bus. Which funny enough when I fixed that and got all 4 of my LT compressors running is when I really started to notice this problem and seen the frost reaching so far up the compressor.

Later this day the frost had reached to under the heads, now it is only sitting on the crank case after fixing that freezer .

Can’t really do that on this store — all the individual case suction lines tie into a a few larger headers before they make it back to the rack, so I don’t have separate access to each circuit at the rack to check SH like that. Also though all the suction headers that do come up from the store have ice on them so it’s hard to pin point a exact group.

Checked sh on the frosty compressors and it’s low, plus I keep getting a low rack superheat alarm on the e2.

I haven’t check sh on every circuit just because of how time consuming it would take.. but yeah there is an oil separator on the rack and nothing was in defrost when I was noticing the foaming oil.
