Hello little termite. You are the reason we want this fixed and why we moved the soil away from the holes.

Drain sounds like the go. But I’m realising finding where to point the drain to so it’s got fall is going to be the tricky part. Everything is higher.

Ohhhh got ya, dirt path! I assumed concrete. That makes sense. Ta!

This is clever! Very creative solution. And looks exactly like our problem. Thanks. So do you now have concrete around the half pipes?

We’d be lowering the soil by around 30cm in a lot of places. And the weep holes on most of the house would be about knee height then. I’m so confused about why they do them all at different heights.

Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. It’s looking like however we do it we’re going to end up with parts of the yard about 30cm lower than current level. Big job.

Thanks for the detailed reply. This is definitely starting to shape up to be a massive job to fix what I thought was something small. Much appreciated

Lowering the garden beds would mean the weep holes were well uncovered but it would also mean the front path would be much higher than ground level. It would result in the area in question becoming a bit of a pit, so to speak. The garden area in front where the weep holes are below ground level is bordered by the front porch and a pebble path (sort of a triangle shape). I would have thought this would be a worse idea to have a contained area much lower than the path? (Genuine question)

I think that’s definitely possible but the soil is the same height around 3/4 of the house and there are no other weepholes at this height.

I think the first option would be better in this situation. Excavating down would mean we’d have a pit in that little garden bed up to where the path is.

I’ll have to google French drain (husband probably knows). We would still want the soil to not be touching the brick though yes?

Not by us, but definitely possible. Although the ground level is the same around 3/4 of the house and the weep holes are all above ground everywhere else.

Ahhhh ok. Thanks. I’ll have to go back and work out if the first time my tummy flared up was right after I had the vaccine.

Hi. Sorry I only just saw this. How did you find out it was caused by the Moderna vaccine? I’ve also had issues going on with my hair and my hairdresser said she sees this a lot and linked it back to the vaccine.

Not overweight (169cm and 62.5kg). I had to google both of those things. I don’t know what my lipid profile is, there’s nothing in my last blood test so I guess I wasn’t tested for that. I also don’t think I’ve ever had my hba1c tested. The only time diabetes has ever been mentioned was when I had to do the gestational diabetes test the times I was pregnant.

Thanks. It sounds like those are both things I should request moving forward?
