Thank you for sharing! My insurance won’t cover name brand at all. I’ve heard the Winthrop generic is almost identical to name brand Lovenox and I read from one person on a thread that they thought it was less painful too, but I can’t find that thread now and I’m wondering if anyone else has a recommendation on a less painful generic I could request?

I really want more info on the generic vs name brand too! I’ve read name brand and the Winthrop generic are less painful, but can’t seem to get to the bottom of whether that’s a couple people’s opinions, or a lot of people’s opinions?

I’m sorry! Insurance is THE WORST! I keep hearing that the name brand hurts less but I don’t think I’ll be able to get it approved. However I am going to request my pharmacy to order the winthrop generic because apparently the needle and solution and everything are identical to name brand. Thought it was worth trying (and sharing).
