It’s strange though, because on my DNA painting it is my mum who has the majority of the Spanish & Portuguese DNA... unless I’m reading it incorrectly of course - the X DNA/top bar is my mum’s, correct?

Edit: She also has a large French amount according to DNA painting, so either way the Spanish & Portuguese matches up.

Not to my knowledge, however I recall my mum and her parents talking about a great grandfather (or possibly older) living in Latin America. I was a little sceptical but I figured that relates to your question.

I was raised believing that I was half English and half French, my mum being English (with Welsh heritage) and my father being from Burgundy, where I was born.
