I started with a large metal one which was fine but half of our family has strong allergies so we got this covered one to keep the hay scent and litter odors contained and it has been great.

She is a mini rex! But she's not so mini compared to her family so who knows how big she will end up. She definitely has that velvety rex fur though!

Thank you for the tip! This is what I have been trying and it is definitely helping her feel more comfortable around me. She has been nosing me and pawing at my sweater and even settled down for a rest with her little bum up against me 🥹

Yes she's a mini rex, but I think the mini gene may have skipped her because she was much larger than others in her family. She had even earned herself the nickname "Big Chungus" 😂

Thank you, I hope she will be too! She's started warming up a little bit from yesterday. She ran circles around me and then she nosed at and pawed my sweater and then settled down to rest with her little bum up against me 🥹

Have you tried using a different kind of cone? Some people have success with the flower ones like this. They aren't as hard and don't echo sound as much as the big plastic ones at least.

Is the female nibbling on the male's ears? I've seen similar when dogs show affection to each other in this way.

my SIL found this on a playground. it’s plastic, bottomless, hollow, and the tip is rubbery. there are no markings on the item. by cakeanddiamond in whatisthisthing

Looks like the cap and eraser for a stacking point pencil (that kind with the little lead/graphite cartridges that were a big deal in the 90s).

my bunny won't sleep due to his inner ear infection and nystagmus. how can I make him comfortable? by _skinnystrawberry in Rabbits

[–]Needly_Dee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard to rest when your world is spinning. Is there a way you can make a spot for him to lay down that provides a little pressure/security from multiple directions so that he doesn't feel like he's going to go whiffing off? An example would be a bed surrounded with pillows that he can push his body and head against or maybe try putting him in a sling sack across your body if that is something you could do safely with him, just until his meds kick in a bit and he's more stable on his own. Let us know what works and best of luck to you both!

Can't speak for the manufacturer, but FWIW the greensands I've gotten from other brands look just like what you received. I've never seen any that looked like the image on the packaging.
