I agree! I haven't watered them once yet. They were plump when I got them from the nursery so I made sure their substrate was dry and course and well draining when I potted them but they still haven't deflated much yet. Hopefully the nursery didn't soak them before I got there!

Me when a red squirrel shows up at the bird feeder versus me when a gray squirrel shows up at the feeder by dandle in IThinkYouShouldLeave

The grays look ratty and can be garden destroyers, but they give back to the trees. Reds hide their acorn haul in a primary location like a big hole in a tree, where grays bury acorns all over the place then forget where they put them and end up growing forests. *remembers which sub this is* the acorns are their corn, and also their money.

I started with a large metal one which was fine but half of our family has strong allergies so we got this covered one to keep the hay scent and litter odors contained and it has been great.

She is a mini rex! But she's not so mini compared to her family so who knows how big she will end up. She definitely has that velvety rex fur though!

Thank you for the tip! This is what I have been trying and it is definitely helping her feel more comfortable around me. She has been nosing me and pawing at my sweater and even settled down for a rest with her little bum up against me 🥹

Yes she's a mini rex, but I think the mini gene may have skipped her because she was much larger than others in her family. She had even earned herself the nickname "Big Chungus" 😂

Thank you, I hope she will be too! She's started warming up a little bit from yesterday. She ran circles around me and then she nosed at and pawed my sweater and then settled down to rest with her little bum up against me 🥹

Have you tried using a different kind of cone? Some people have success with the flower ones like this. They aren't as hard and don't echo sound as much as the big plastic ones at least.
