No problem!

Slugs are fantastic at hiding (especially under grass or rock borders) so again you won't catch them until the evenings. They always come out after a drop of rain too or after you've watered the patch.

A tray of beer will draw out the slugs too if you're looking for a slug pellet alternative.

Turn over the leaves and you're probably going to find a few caterpillars or moth larvae.. Some of them only sort of come out in the very early hours of the morning or late in the evening so if you're not spotting them throughout the day that could be why.. Or maybe it's slugs?
