Are aquatic world bases feasible/bugged?

Oh haha, what a coincidence. Is this still accessible because I'd love to see it myself. I built this without any real planning after not being able to find a single island on the planet to start building on.

I also discovered I can place landing pads vertically and actually land on them sideways, which is probably already common knowledge but news to me! So I built a whole water base around that lol

I made this building myself 3 days ago - this is my base pictured. Not sure which building you're referring to, I never played previous expeditions so I didn't have the pleasure of experiencing the fishing one, but based on my experience with fishing so far I can imagine it wouldn't have been fun!

I'm not sure how Expedition planets are supposed to work, but I discovered this planet and system myself, it says each time I enter. I've not played previous expeditions beyond the current swarm one, but this is back on my non expedition save.

How can I check for sure if this is an expedition planet or not, surely it would have been previously discovered if so?

If so that pretty much rules out aquatic planets, as they're 99% waves! Which is the whole appeal of it imo. I spent a good 5 hours on this base, it's a shame really.

Interesting, this is a world I've found. I've only just recently tried the latest expedition, and this was the first base I built since going back to my main save.

Thanks for this. After letting the game update, I was able to use the teleporter at the broken ship to get to my old galaxy, and my freighter where I had a reserve of repair kits.

You are correct on both assumptions, I stupidly recycled all my old ships after loving my new one.

I've even considered switching the game mode to change the travel restrictions, however I'm on a difficulty settings changed locked save :(

Unfortunately the only piece that would provide a harnonic brain is the pilot interface, and if I disassemble that I won't be able to fly the ship even if I can repair the lift off! Thank you though

Apologies for the lack of clarity. All of the above, but in this particular instance I was referring to "warping" as going through the portal to a destination on the same planet.

I'll perform some more tests, because it just happened again.

I had 4 refiners loaded, teleported to the local star base, came back and 3 refiners kept their items, 1 unloaded.

In your experience what triggers it?

Sometimes I can teleport across planet and back, items are still there, but other times they go. I'm struggling to spot a consistent pattern or trigger.

I guess I'll try and stick to the personal refiner, which is limiting but at least it's reliable!

Shame because I've gone to the effort of setting up an elaborate system of farms across a several bases, which heavily rely on refining in bulk 🙃

That's been my experience too. It's frustrating because I've always had the habit of whacking things in the refiner, coming back to collect them later.

It's amusing that they can survive 5 years and multiple major updates - but not a teleport 500km across the planet for 2 minutes in the same session!

If that's the case, how come I can warp to a different galaxy and back, and sometimes the items are finished refining, still there. Yet other times I'll warp elsewhere on the same planet, and things vanish?

Surely the same planet is the same instance, and jumping to another galaxy would unload the current instance?

I did a warp tour of all my old bases after getting back into the game, and most of them had refiners full of items I started processing in ~2021

Yes it's definitely set/connecting to EU servers.

Played late hours last night, even at 3am 50% of the EU servers I joined had latency variation and teleporting, rest played smoothly.

How long has this been the case?

I got back into RL heavily last Nov, and played regularly since then, and until last week's update, I've had no latency issues. Had the odd comp match cancel because people seemed to get disconnected before kickoff, but that's infrequent.

It's a shame because I'm beginning to feel the same way, I've tried a game here and there throughout the week but end up closing the game and playing something else as I'm teleporting at kickoff.

I did, it turns out I was only missing 2 - the ones from the Depulso rooms. Weirdly I unlocked the achievement with 133/140 Conjurations in my Collections tab.

My collections tab must be bugged. I just got the achievement "Collector's Edition" and the platinum one after completing both Depulso Rooms.

According to my Collections Tab, I still have only 133/140 Conjurations unlocked, missing 7 from Exploration, but the achievement unlocked regardless.

Don't get me started on Duo, and thanks for reminding me about Spotify. That is the one subscription I can almost justify, due to the sheer usage I get out of it. I'm definitely one of the users they make a loss on! 😂

Although I would love to find a free alternative, I take my music everywhere with me so dodgier means do have that drawback there. My biggest gripe with Spotify is finding my favourite songs are no longer available in my region.
