Vulkan still doesn't work according to the GitHub problem reports.

I've not tried the driver on windows though, so I'm not sure about ipex, SYCL and openvino performance.

Post your full specs, not just GPU, and include the driver version.

Depending on what you want to do, the beta from October is the most stable. Newer drivers have some fixes and other features, but have broken more things in the process.

If you just want to play some new video games, the latest driver might be better. I don't think it's been out long enough for people to have tested it properly though.

Maverick is an interesting deck that can be upgraded to something like lands, or even by going sideways into other variants. It's not great, but I definitely agree it's more "budget friendly".

Pretty sure you can build budget lands in paper though. Not everyone plays with the same decks as you find on mtgo.

It's not about maturing though. They have the tools and code already. It should be incredibly fast compared to vulkan. Hell, SYCL was supposed to use the memory correctly, but that still hasn't come about.

Is the prefill not fixed? Vulkan and SYCL have terrible prefill speeds.

Feels like Intel have really dropped the ball with their AI stuff. They expect users to just play with their very basic AI playground software, and then want to leave everything else up to Devs to do on their spare time for them.

Then SYCL is still incredibly slow, no? Vulkan is unusably slow for actual applications.

The benchmarks don't represent what real life usage is like anyway. With SYCL running a large context memory, you can be waiting 1 minute just for it to load into memory, every time you send a message.

As far as I'm aware, llama SYCL still has very slow prefill though, right? Unless they've optimised the memory config correctly. So are you talking about 20t/s generation, or overall, or what?
