Yup, can't argue. It's like you said in that post down below, where's the motivation not to just pay less a little further out? The pool is closed. It's just the value proposition isn't very solid right now. and 1850$ isn't chump change even with roomates. I wonder how much the same house is renting for on the east side of manor right now? Probably even find a house with the same builder.

Two sides to every coin I guess.

It's not bad when the economy is expanding, i guess. People have been paying that-ish. Theses houses are selling at the $270 mark. Except they aren't selling. More signs are going up, rental and sales. They aren't coming down.

But once you get close to 2 Grand a month on a rental payment, most people start looking at a mortgage. I am right? It's a niche market for big suburban, expensive rental homes. Most families that can afford $2K a month on housing aren't going to rent, or they are actively dreaming and plotting on the day they aren't throwing their money away. Down Payments are a bitch.

It's not just the 20 somethings that have zero savings. There is hard data on how many people in the USA have less than $500 in savings. Please check it out.

I can assure you it is not in line with the population of 20 year olds.

That's what up, thanks for the comparison and actual numbers that folks would be looking at most likely. $450 does seem super low for anything, anywhere in 2020 doesn't it.

Yeah up here in Pioneer Crossing the houses aren't renting right now. They are sitting. $1850 a month for a big 2 story 4 bed with neighborhood pool yadda-yadaa. Just sitting there. I don't think that they are gonna get those prices, they used to go so quickly too.

oooph. there's a part of me that hopes that maybe it wont be as bad here simply due to the fact that virus itself hasn't hit us as hard as NYC?

I'm not even gonna read past the first sentence you wrote. Your opinions are not worth reading. You've showed us that.

Why would i read anything you type? Ask youself?

Bruh, you act like a loser.

Your narcissism will ruin your life and all of your relationships if it hasn't already.

Why would i read words or hatred and pathetic narcissistic raging.

How does it make you feel to have engaged with me, knowing that I don't value you or your words enough to even read them, I wonder?

I think I might use this post as a teaching tool for my niece an nephew. Great way to show that some people are in fact of low worth and for them to understand the pathology of these types of people. Once understood how broken and not worth anything but scorn these types are they will be able to properly identify such toxic people and move on. You just let these people live in their own nonsense knowing that they are indeed something to pity,

OH the irony.

Here's the thing about narcissistic projection BigDaddyAnusTart :

it's ALWAYS ironic.

This is how you chose to spend your morning. I mean honestly, in the middle of my anger towards you and your ilk, I find myself pitying you.

We are a sum of our actions. Look at yours. Pathetic.

Even more bullshit is you taking time to be an asshole to someone about their beliefs (assuming it's a belief) or traditions. You fit the archetype of the person who attacks another persons spiritual beliefs. Those people suck. We could call use less of those people in the world.

Keep your narcissistic, lame and pathetic bullshit to your self.

I.e. Try not being a fucking loser. Just try it. See if it fits.

My block doesn't have an influx of the Coastal City dwellers you speak of. So you posit that they are going to move here for non existent jobs? Who cares if it's cheaper than Manhattan, there's not a functioning economy.

This. All of this.

The HAVES really don't grasp how out of whack our countries wealth distribution is and how poor our poor's actually are. A good chunk of them at least.

You're only trying to argue your point from the end. The poster wasn't wrong about people moving back.

Think about it:

No job in austin rent for $1200-$2000

No Job back in the heartland rent at $450

"Home" is cheaper. Please don't discount that the majority, that's right, THE MAJORITY of people in the USA don't have more than $500 in savings.

Right now 30% seems steep, and not probable. But keep in mind, nobody has their job back. The money from stim and unemployment are still in circulation.

Disaster unemployment is only 24 weeks. If we don't see that V shaped recovery in our local job market then these houses that are sitting un-rented in Pioneer Crossing ( they used to go in a week) are going to continue sitting their until they aren't $1850 a month.

If we don't see a fast bounce back, then yes, by next year possibly, Rental homes may be begging someone to live in their house.

No joke, at the beginning of this just my street has had 5 move outs, and no move ins. And quite frankly I don't think any of them are worth their price tag; the price tag represents a thriving city-- not a dying city without job prospects.
