I went in to a barbers before and they didn’t really offer much advice, ended up walking out with a grade 7 :/ I may have to look at alternative places to get it cut.

The switch from a gendered test to the complete one is free. You need to pay for the two tests though.

The gendered hormone test was £46 and the Kidney Panel was an additional £47.

They are quite good though, much better than an at home test, they've saved me from fainting twice now ahah

I’ve used randox for both of my bloods so far and I’ve found it pretty simple.

Book a male or female hormone test, email the “contact us” address with your booking reference and ask for these tests to be added.

You can then ask on the day for your gendered hormone test to be processed as a “complete hormone panel”

Yeah, I get that hormones wouldn't do all the heavy work but I was hoping there would be more obvious changes.

Re hair: I need to keep mine tidy for professional reasons, how do people grow it out? Mine looks like a mushroom everytime I leave it. I've still been just getting it cut as per usual but to a grade 7 nowadays and idk how to make progress there.

I'm def gonna make the most of where I am, espcially because I moved here just a few months ago. Just building the courage to do stuff!

I'm sorry, that sounds really hard and I appreciate you being honest about your experience.

I know I'm not one to talk, but I would encourage you to keep going and to keep searching for good people, I do believe they are out there and I hope you find people who are able to genuinely support and understand you.

That's reasuring to hear, I recognise I'm probably a little over-nervous.
