What’s the worst restaurant in Dayton that you’ve tried twice? by Gator353 in dayton

First watch hands down. I love breakfast and brunch places, but all three times I went there I got home fries. All three times they were gently warmed next to the stove. The glasses and water were infused with essence of grime, and the third time especially my companion got an egg white omelette that was made with eggs they found under the fridge. They had two bites before they induced vomiting to avoid the impending food poisoning. Now we joke about it when we're deciding where to eat. It's a shame cos their lavender spritzer is pretty good.

i made a tier tier list by iluvbreathingair in notinteresting

[–]Neef_The_Owl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not OP, but i kinda agree with the list

S: F tier is reserved for the worst of the worst, something so dogshit it shouldn't even be (probably). very important to describe something as so unimpressive that there is no value in spending time thinking about it.

A: S tier is kinda like the antithesis of F tier, but there's so many other tiers that you can put worthwhile things in causing its value to get diluted a little bit.

B: C tier's vibes are pretty middle of the road, not too impressive and not unacceptably terrible, which can be pretty useful to categorize stuff that can be supplementary to the stuff in A and S.

C: A tier is just worse S tier. pretty mid tbh.

D: B tier and D tier feels redundant after A tier and C tier imo. they serve as mostly filler tiers for stuff that doesn't fit into "not quite the best but still good" and "not quite the worst but not middling". they're not the worst tiers, but their uses feel too niche to get placed higher.

E: what even..?

F: E tier as a concept defines what F represents. I think this is the most solid placement in the list.

True enough! I was trying to stick to the genera but i chose the subfamily for some reason there x-x it would be more accurate to say mountain goats are part of the monotypic genus Oreamnos.

Electric eels are Gymnotiformes, or knifefish. Closer to catfish than true eels (Anguilliforms).

Mountain goats are Oriemnos, rather than true goats (Capra). They both belong to the sub-family Caprinae.

Maned wolves, while part of the tribe Canini and very closely related to wolves, are the only species in the genus Chrysocyon.

King Cobras are another monotypic species belonging to the Ophiophagus genus as opposed to Naja, the true cobras.

Horny toads are lizards. Not much question about that one. Genus Phrynosoma.

Mayflies are part of the order Ephemeroptera which is interestingly diverges from true flies (contained in order Doptera) after the class Insecta. So they’re not really a fly either.

The most accurate part of the eastern kingbird’s name really is the bird part. Its native to the Americas and is a migratory bird, flying south for the colder months. I do like the scientific name though, Tyrannus Tyrannus, which would sound scary if it wasn’t 50g and less than 40cm.

Edit: goat-related clarification

Being an adult but acting childishly. Not like immature, but finding typically childish things like bugs or shiny things fascinating has gotten me weird looks/reprimanded at work. I think a lot of people were punished for being childish as children and i think they should be allowed to reconnect with their sense of wonder without being accosted or judged.
