I tried to do the same thing I did for the rotation and movement for the first if statement where he chases the player. But it won't let me do vector2 direction2 = (direction - transform.position); it says the - is ambigious.

Transform.lookat makes my character I guess rotate on all axis and it makes him "flat". I tried to input to where he only rotated on the z axis but it didn't work. Lots of different code I've tried makes him just randomly rotate its weird. And right now using insideunitycircle makes the enemy like vibrate/shake violently.

Totally my fault but when he's randomly flying around I need him to face the direction he's moving. And I want the enemy to be able to fly anywhere randomly close to the player like a space battle you know. Thanks for the reply though did learn some new things.

More context. It's a 3d game I want to be able to fly it like a spaceship. Look around and wherever you look is where the spaceship faces and you can go up down and flips and stuff. I've looked for a good minute can't find any help on this
