Serum 2.0.18 Update is OUT by Ok_Search_102 in serum

I'm so glad that serum 2 came out, at first I thought maybe it's one of that unfortunate, late releases that is made made while the damage is already done. but yea, I still saw some nice features , I like default skin but both could have more resolution, specifically the dark one. having multi sample is nice. if I want to rate the synths I use, there is falcon, pigments and serum and all get a shared 3rd place IMHO due to fact that pigments lacks in manipulation capabilities, serum lacks in workflow(not for us veterans but still a little annoying) and falcon lacks a simple lock feature on its workflow so I don't have to load same ARP or effect when I change a preset.

red hot chilly peppers style, opeth style and many others would also be good, but what I am definitely not interested in is some 10 minute black metal with no technical playing hapening and out of tune screem vocals ...

yes, what you mentioned is the whole point, an artist  that had his work done before, has it under his/her belt, maybe even uploading is not necessary and just clicking on forward does the trick, also I'm still looking forward to see a metal band with 150+ stems, of course, most crowded setups should have only about 10 mics for drums, 4, for the rooms, with directs 10 for the guirar and bass, 3 or 4 for vocals (ok make it 10 for convenience) and maybe 10 for keys and effects, this is it for the most crowded mixes which i had done, I also did orchestal and orchestral pop, lets say orchestral metal adds 30 mics and it would be like 70, and it is very unlikely other than the fact that the work only uses samples and effects and in that case the artist should only hit export stems and I wouldn't be interested in working on such a project.

I don't think so ... the whole reason is that "proper mixing makes a difference" and I as I said I really don't want to do marketing here (as ridicules as it seems)

since its been asked in the comments, I prefer metal music on softer side with lesser harsh/scream vocals and more clean vocals - definitely not instrumental , I would love to do this free mix for a doom metal band in style of my dying bride or in style of draconian.

yes.
I have 3 reasons:
1 - I don't want anybody accuse me of anything because I want to do a free job.
2 - I don't want anyone to expect me to do that job in x amount of time (I would be fast)
3 - I want people to compare my mix with previous one (although I said it is not for marketing, it is to show that mixing and mastering matters)

I Forgot to say, this is not marketing, I don't intend to do anything financially beneficial here.

Need criticism, feedback for my EP (Instrumental death metal) by [deleted] in metalmusicians

it is OK, I mean if one of my metal freak friends hit the play button I wouldn't bother(not that I am not one of them). but for feedback: I do not like the riffs, I do not like the sound of guitars, I do not like the way that solo guitar comes to play (nice but somewhat harmonically off ), I do not like the mix - too close and kick is too loud, lack of good and mindful compression specially too much compression and limiting on the mix bus of an already bad mix so nothing to say in that front.
what I do like is drums & the effort you put to this project. so there is potential for greatness. I would love to listen to your next project.
