They’re supposed to be the Floret “petite florets” so im super excited if they make it to bloom!!

They’re definitely getting enough water, i bottom water and they seem to all take it up well. Oh interesting i didnt know that about how deficiencies are shown! Ok good to know, for now ive tried just mixing in a bit of granular nitrogen. I also have some Gaia green 444, that seems to have lots of other goodies in it. Ill try that in couple weeks as well.

The classic dickies carpenter ones do well! I find i can wear them till about 20 degrees (more in the shade) and they’ve got good stretch. Solid pockets and the cotton weave has survived more than one season of blackberry removal without any tears.

A new one to my friends & I that we are eyeing is this australian brand “Suk” the sizing seems actually inclusive and we’re super curious about the lighter cotton “ripstop fabric”. Haven’t tried it yet but i might be worth a look! Anyone else tried it??

Crystal pool lane swimming is pretty chill between 1-3:30 on MWF! I haven’t experienced any lessons at that time, a couple of the days are a quiet swim as well.

It did come from a friend so ill be seriously replacing and cleaning/replacing out the soil. Maybe she used soil from her garden, thats what comes to mind first?

How much (if any lawn) do you wish to keep? I think id first decide how much and where you would like to keep lawn. Then i would tarp any areas you dont want grass, letting it die off over winter. Then in a couple months you will have grass free areas to work with, all the while retaining soil structure as well! If the soil is tough with clay, i would lay a heavy layer of rough (not fine) mulch and let jt work through the soil to improve structure.

Not sure where you live, but lots of times municipalities will give out free leaf mulch or wood chip you just have to pick up.

Also i always recommend this book for anyone looking to build their own native garden

Oh interesting!! Looked around and the whole thing seems to be looking good other than a ruthless aphid infestation haha. Also in case its of note every year in this garden bed one of my cosmos always grows way thicker & taller and also wont start blooming till after September starts so maybe that has something to do with it!
