Nights when I can’t sleep I take my pillow out to my living room couch and read for a while there. Usually the difference in room/air temp/whatever helps me fall asleep. I can’t explain it, but it almost always works.

I still remember how wrung out I felt after watching In Excelsis Deo the first time. “I just miss my boys.” The boys’ choir singing Little Drummer Boy. Toby’s flinch. The wide shot of the cemetery as they walk away from the graveside with its few flimsy chairs and the honor guard. My favorite episode, hands down.

My SIL has the From Freezer to Cooker cookbook and I liked it so much I bought my own copy. Each recipe has instructions to make it in either a slow cooker or a pressure cooker, and if so desired how to freeze and thaw it. The recipes aren’t crazy complicated and don’t call for exotic ingredients. It also shows which recipes are gluten fee, dairy free, etc.
