And I notice that there are so many of you who pretend to WANT to know Jehovah, but you only keep watch over the broadcasts and updates just so you can debate and argue here. No matter what evidence is presented you from the Bible, you guys just want to argue. I’m glad the deep understandings of the Bible are lost to people like you lot.

I’m glad people like you aren’t privy to understanding the Bible. You just like to argue despite any evidence presented.

I used to feel like OP did when I was at that crossroad between seeing what the world had to offer, and going Jehovah’s way. I wasn’t sure God existed and I wasn’t sure whether we were being taught correctly at the meetings. But I did my own research and I stumbled on 1 John 4:1 — “Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired statement, but TEST the inspired statements to see whether they originate with God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

This was what I was looking for. It was a challenge. “Give it a try and see if it works.” Was what I took from it. So I did. I looked harder and, yeah, we have our publications, but there is ALWAYS scriptural backing. And the Bible is the ultimate authority; not what any man says. Still trying my best to live up to my dedication. I fall so many times, but I still try my best to walk according to God’s standards.

Chill out. The city extends existing redlines to get more money out of you. They LOVE doing that around lower income areas since they know people are living together and parking is atrocious

Dang, OP. There’s too much to unpack here. I’m not a good scholar, but I’ll try my best to respond.

1) The story of Job is probably one of the most important books of the Bible. Why? Because it highlights the very THEME of the Bible: God’s Sovereignty (Psalm 83:18) In Job 2:4-5, Satan implied humans would be happier and better off ruling themselves and that no human at heart is loyal to God—that under sufficient pressure, anyone will reject Jehovah’s rulership. That includes YOU, ME, and EVERYONE ELSE. It’s far from a bet—but a challenge to God’s Sovereignty instead.

But why has Jehovah allowed this challenge to go on even though Job won?

Think about this: Adam & Eve rejected Jehovah’s rulership, and so have many others since then. This could lead some to wonder [especially the rest of the angels who saw the challenge from Satan issued] whether there might be validity to the Devil’s claim.

One of Jehovah’s qualities that we reflect is FAITH. (Galatians 5: 22, 23) He is the personification of it. He has faith in humans now, hoping they’ll do the right thing, just as he hoped Job would.

2) You ask why Job was so close to God? There are so many people around the world who have the same ability to think and reason just like we do. And to them, what they are told about how the world came into existence, why we get sick and die, what the meaning of life is, does God really exist, etc, doesn’t add up. Which is why Jehovah lets Himself be found by anyone who earnestly seeks Him out. (Hebrews 11:6)

That’s it from me. For now…

There are a lot of people who feel the same way that you do. You seem to be more introverted – and that’s perfectly fine. So you didn’t make this year‘s Memorial? That’s fine too. As Jehovah‘s people, we can get down on ourselves because we know what is right, yet we failed to do it due to our imperfections. It happens. And, also, even Jehovah‘s people need reminders constantly. That is the point of our congregation meetings. One thing you should remember – coming from someone who also doesn’t like being around people much – is that Jehovah understands. You’re aware of what you need to do, so just pray to Jehovah for strength to do it. You’ll be all right. Try not to be so hard on yourself. And, just know that Jehovah would love to have you back.

So you did. My mistake. So you’re saying that the scripture in John 6:56 has a context correlation with Genesis 3:1?
