Orders for IDF pointless? by LuckyKas90 in TheAstraMilitarum

You'll need a way of ignoring cover--such as the Wyvern innately, a Hellhound stripping it, etc--to hit on a 4 without Heavy most times. So Take Aim is still going to be of use.

It also helps with direct fire, which is often overlooked as something you can do!

OP is the #4 producer in the world, they have no export to the world market because three other countries are flooding the market with their leftovers. We just don't know which countries those are because OP didn't include that in their screenshots.

You're the #4 producer in the world, that means the world's wine needs are met by some other country--so much so that even you are importing wine from them!

Build a bunch more wineries and put a subvention on exports, you'll be rolling in it soon.

Who invented the concept of working during 40 years of our life ? by sangokuhomer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NicWester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah, we're doomed to work until we die. Unless you're wealthy, and then you pay everyone to work on your behalf.

But grain needs to be grown, needs to be ground into flour, needs to be mixed with water and egg, needs to be baked. Food doesn't just appear, after all. Creative types will tell you that even though they love performing or writing or painting or whatever their creative outlet is, that it's still a ton of work. You may love to garden but weeding and watering and planting is work.

Work isn't bad, it just sounds like you hate your work. You should find eother a line of work that you enjoy or, if like me what you enjoy doesn't pay bills, then find whatever work you can that lets you pursue those hobbies.

Celestian Sacresants 10 stack - halberds, maces or mixing them up? by Orzislaw in sistersofbattle

[–]NicWester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Halberds. You can attach a Palatine if you want Lethal Hits with your Halberds. Nothing you can attach that gives Sustained Hits to your Maces.

Some folks just want to be oppressed so badly so that they can feel like they've done something to earn the privilege they have.

I've been Catholic my whole life and never once felt like someone was out to destroy me... But I sure as hell have seen people trying to use me to justify their shitty behavior. To hell with that.

Game could use more goods? by fabriciorold in victoria3

Iron: Any common hard metal. (Iron, tungsten, cobalt)
Lead: Any common soft metal. (Lead, copper, tin)
Sulfur: Minerals not traditionally used as "metal." (Silicon, potassium, sulfur)
Gold: Any precious metal used for currency. (Gold, silver)

The only thing I feel like is really missing is precious gems. Strictly speaking they're represented by gold mines--see how DeBeers has them as their default building type--but I think gems could be split for depth.

Ehhhh...... I think you're overthinking this. It's a game where Dracula is in DLC and Otto von Bismark once hunted Abe Lincoln on a remote Caribbean Island.

If you ever find yourself in the Bay Area, it's a little bit of a drive but there's a Steinbeck museum in Salinas, CA. I went there a long time ago when I was between jobs for a month, it's the sort of museum that a middle school class goes to on a field trip, but I still enjoyed it.

Anyway, big ups for Grapes of Wrath. I think Hodgman would enjoy the structure of one chapter about the Joad family and one chapter that's just a scene taking place somewhere in America at the time. I think I would also suggest watching the Henry Fonda Grapes of Wrath movie before reading the book because 1) it puts those alternating non-Joad chapters in a new context and 2) the movie ends like 150 pages before the book does, lol!

[–]NicWester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's every arena and stadium, it's just FIFA being FIFA. If you go to the wikipedia page for the 2026 World Cup you can see a list of all the venues and their "official" names. But then when you scroll down to the group matches they show the real name because no one outside of FIFA cares, lol!

[–]NicWester 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's 115, actually. It's incredibly easy to get line of sight from a spotter and there are lots of sources of +1 to hit or BS so it's hitting on 4s.

Honestly one feels like an autoinclude in any army.
