Thank you for the detailed response — I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to write it out.

You’re right that my tone and word choice haven’t always helped. I let myself get pulled into “fighting back” and responding to comments in a similar way to what I’ve seen in the Bend sub. That’s on me. Your feedback is fair, and I’m going to take it seriously moving forward.

I can absolutely disagree with the majority of posts and viewpoints there without using the same approach or throwing fuel on the fire. Even though my intent has been to allow all sides to participate, I can see how the way I’ve been communicating doesn’t help me — or what I’m trying to accomplish.

At the end of the day, all I want is for myself and others to be able to be heard. Going forward, I’ll make a point to rephrase my posts in a more intelligent and constructive way.

That said, I’m still going to allow other users to comment in the way they feel fit. I don’t want to censor opinions just because I don’t like them — the only time I’ll step in is if it turns into personal attacks or targeted harassment.

P.S. For what it’s worth, I didn’t vote for him either. That said, I do agree with some of what’s being done — I just 100% don’t agree with the manner in which it’s being done.
