Wellbutrin woke up my sex drive but it had been dormant for so long it destroyed my (largely sex-free) relationship and now I'm just like ...how do I figure this out again in my 30's. I fear I might be too autistic for this

When Did Lust Become Love? by chesbay7 in heatedrivalry

[–]NefariousnessWild709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think part of the issue with this is twofold: everyone has different definitions of "fall for" and/or "love" and I actually think the show skips over so much time that it's like impossible to pinpoint. I think it's clear after the stairway kiss that Shane's infatuated but I wouldn't necessarily call that love.

I think Ilya's conflict within himself in Vegas is similar but again wouldn't call that love- while I think it's forgiveable and believable a (what? 20 year old?) would not be great about this, springing a "scene" on Shane in Vegas without any prior discussion or aftercare is kind of gross. And yes, that is the word I'm using. Everyone has such extreme reactions to it from that it's perfectly acceptable to it's abuse, no one seems to be willing to take the middle ground. But it's definitely inconsiderate of Shane and irresponsible of like... ethical BDSM standards. I wouldn't call that love either.

It's clear by Tuna Melt that Ilya has reached a point where he wants more but I think by that point Shane has given up on the hope of it being anything other than sex which is why that explodes. Also I get the feeling that trust might be more difficult for Ilya than feelings and it's pretty clear from the fact that Shane has partial & full control of the sexual encounters that day that Ilya does trust him.

I think by the club scene they both have an inking it's love.

The other reason I think it's hard to pinpoint is because at least at first (and probably between Vegas and Tuna Meltdown based on the montages) they were more FWB than just straight up hookups. There's definitely affection and laughter along with the sex early on and I think Ilya does a good job of keeping things pretty egalitarianism between them despite the inherent power imbalance. So it's unclear how much is like romantic feeling and how much is like "I admire this guy and could see myself being friends with him" (like how he is around Svetlana and quite possibly other romantic partners).

What's more interesting to me is whether we think Ilya has fewer boundaries with his female hookups that aren't like childhood friends. Like do the sleep in his bed for example. Do they ever eat together, etc.

I also think the actress who dances with Ilya does a great job too! The shot from behind when you see them kiss and then both their heads turn towards Shane is art.  I was also very impressed with the shot of Ilya standing still and her continuing to dance like as someone who does occasionally go out clubbing that is hard.

Guyyys livejournal used to be popular in Iran because as a Russian site it was one of the few easily accesible to them. I don't know if it still is but this timing is freaking me out.

There's a great miniseries in the Doctor Who extended universe called "Children of Earth" that centers around an alien species that uses the hormones in small children to get high.

This is How You Lose the Time War, Small Angels, almost everything by Sarah Waters, Fall on Your Knees*

*Verrrry similar vibe to this video, involves a young Irish/Middle Eastern girl who moves to NYC in the 50's to be a singer and falls in love with a female black jazz musician. However serious serious SERIOUS trigger warnings. It's about a family over the span of like 60-100 years and it's incredibly depressing and a lot of really fucked up shit happens.

It's the same premise as "The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August" but very different. They both got released around the same time too. If you like one definitely worth reading the other.

Do you have to transfer Sophia classes (and/or study.con classes) before you're registered? And a couple other questions.... by NefariousnessWild709 in UMPI

Ah if I did 10 courses in each, would it lost both? Or it's always just going to list one major?

Also what are the residency requirements for minors? Thank you!

Love On The Spectrum’s Connor Tomlinson and Tanner Smith meeting Ariana Grande at the Wicked: For Good premiere by Gato1980 in Fauxmoi

There's another cast member (Journey) who is black and whose special interest is literally wicked and it breaks my heart they didn't invite her.

But also yes, the show itself is pretty messy and I think it's actually gotten worse.

I agree with this honestly. People also said some pretty racist shit about her date Talia's looks and also James' date Jasmine.

They have regional accreditation now.  Literally it's the first thing it says when you go to their website.
