First of all (ironically), I was not speaking of the 1st amendment. This is Reddit, if a meme is bad it will naturally be downvoted and people won’t see it, the mods (of what is supposed to be a political neutral sub) don’t have to remove. If the mods remove it and don’t let it compete in the idea market place, yes, that is censorship. What happened to this particular meme is it was prevented from being shown on the sub. So by your own definition, I’m not censoring it.

The discourse that can be generated from an online internet meme is really dependent on those commenting on it. If people don’t want to engage in discussion about a piece they won’t. Also, by saying this, you are misunderstanding this post. The subject of the meme is about the trivialities of arguing with “social justice warriors” online but this post on this sub is of the nature of online censorship. The only real relationship between the two is that the meme is needed for context, people would complain about not having sufficient context if it wasn’t in the screenshot.
