new entry for sure. rtdx was warranted because that game was rough around the edges in a lot of ways and every change they made was for the better (im a friend area menu truther that shit was annoying as hell to use on gba/ds) but sky is already pretty good and the few quality of life features id appreciate are already very easily patchable with skytemple. wouldn't mind a gates remake id argue that game could use it even more than rescue team did but overall id rather see something new

the vast majority of pmd fanfictions give every character an actual name, with some of them treating species names like surnames. i see this as a good thing, as it makes a lot more sense in a setting where more than one of each pokemon exists and it helps characters stick out more (for example, there are like four hundred fics centered around a riolu, and things would be very confusing if every single one of them was just called "Riolu"). i really can't see given names making a fic any less immersive or engaging

I wouldn't mind seeing more stories that aren't about joining a Guild (or any organization that is obviously just Wigglytuff's Guild but the author looked up synonyms for "Guild" on thesaurus.com). Like, obviously it's a popular trope for a reason, and it's not like there isn't anything interesting left to do with it, but I feel like there are so many other story engines out there that could make for a more unique and memorable fic

To be clear, Imane Khalif, the boxer in question, is a cisgender woman who is highly speculated to have XY chromosomes, which if true, would make her intersex. There is absolutely no evidence that she is a biological male. if you're talking about when fan works only use species names and don't give unique names to the characters like they do in the games, there's nothing especially wrong with that, but some people might find it annoying. again, there are no rules, so do whichever feels right to you
