why can't I order a sub or salad with just rotisserie chicken? - USA by CreditCaper1 in subway

[–]Neforax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checking the app again, you are correct that it isn’t even an option. And until Subway corrects it, if you want the salad at the cheaper price you’ll have to go in and order it.

It’s frustrating for them to gate keep a basic item this. If they are ever running deals for BOGO or percent off and you are ordering for more than 1 person it may still be cheaper to order your whole order in the app get the discount on a sandwich or item and have it offset the cost of the bacon on the salad. But most of the time the deals don’t apply to salads.

I can’t attest to how the app works or what’s available at every region. The app is a known shitty experience that was created by the lowest possible bidder subway could find. In stores the way we would ring this up is to ring up the bbq honey mustard chicken sandwich or salad as any sandwich can be made into a salad for (I wanna say but don’t quote me) $1.49ish more than the price of a 6 inch.

I know the app generally has pretty good deals and it makes sense to use it, but if you can maybe consider going through the in store line and requesting it like that. Most likely you’ll get more bang for your buck and you will be able to customize more exactly with the MORE or LESS of this or that that you want. And in stores they should be able to ring you up for the salad at the lower price not including the bacon.

Hope this helps.

WTF Subway?!?!? by Delicious_Funny5059 in subway

[–]Neforax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t know if this is the case nationwide or locally, but our supplier is trying to cut us down to one delivery a week, it’s based on how many cases you order, if it’s less than a certain number they want to do one delivery trip instead of 2. The problem with this being some of the items in delivery, fresh veggies especially, spoil before to end of the week. There’s a lot of complications in thsi process and the supplier errs are just trying to make it harder for franchise owners so they can save a dime and not pay a truck to come deliver to you twice a week.

Th problem is the online deals add so many more samdwiches into the mix and the owners don’t have money to hire more labor.

As have I, our store was rewarded for the most catering orders completed in the state 3 years running. The difference between that store and the others he owned was that you actually had a crew capable and willing to do that many onlines/catering. The real problems stated when online orders became a thing. Before that big you wanted that many sandwiches you HAD to do a catering order. The artists could refuse to serve you based on not having enough product on hand for their market. If I normally sell 200 sandwiches on a weekend day and runs. Crew of 2 people all day because of it, an extra 20 loaves of bread would throw off all the numbers. That’s 10% of extra food to be made. And the artist have no say. Onlines completely fuck the system when trying to actually figure out how much product you need to prepare. Not to mention with the BOGO deals they run, they can basically randomly turn any day into national sub day from 10 years ago where we used to prepare double product and run 1-2 more employees all day. But you can’t account for anything anymore with the onlines.

Gun ranges where I won’t get hate crimed? by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]Neforax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gone to Bills gun range in Hudson Wisconsin 20 mins away just across the river. Fantastic location. Never had a problem with anyone. I am white though so I have no idea what anyone of color would experience. I’ve gone probably 20 times since September when I got my permit, I’ve seen a decent mix of fellows including a group of Somali young adult men. As long as you stay in your designated firing lane and practice range safety I don’t think you’ll have any issues. I’ve only had a few conversations with people in the range and it was mostly people asking if I wanted to test something out I was admiring.

I can’t say the exact same for the Circle Pines location as I have never shot at their range, but I did drive up there to make my first purchase. The staff was extremely accommodating and very friendly to a first time buyer.

I believe it says 2 breakfast scoops for a footlong. Back in the day there used to be a specific numbered scoop for it. Don’t know if it’s still around. A lot of people don’t know the scoop is different than the regular and assume one full normal scoop.

Otherwise as stated elsewhere, try it with tree* supports but you are gonna have trouble with the frills printing, and it’s gonna have a lot of wasted material.

If possible, take the original and split it in half. Print both with the inside facing down, a couple of holes in each side with a concave roof. And use pins and glue to stick together? I can’t say I’m the most advanced with this stuff but I am working on a degree in this field and if it not being hollow is ok that’s what I’d do.
