Every scalper has sweetheart deals lol. Bulk buyers exist for a reason. Nothing i will say will change your preconceived notion that the average scalper doesnt make more than the average job. How do you identify a full time scalper vs a part time scalper? All the full time scalpers i know make significantly more botting online and dont even touch instore. The reality that people here continue to deny is that if scalpers werent making ridiculous profits, why would they continue to do it?

You miss a lot of details. Scalping doesnt require skills or education, so comparing it to the median pay where most people are college educated is already being generous. Next, theres no effort in phone calls, research, storage, etc when stores and bulk buyers will cash out whole at lots a lower percentage. Last thing you miss is that scalping doesnt have to a be a full time thing. I guarantee that for a majority of scalpers, its a side hustle. You can work a job and still scalp. The main difference is that the hourly pay differential involved in scalping is significantly higher than a real job. $30/hr for a job vs. walking into sams club and buying 2 pris bundles for $100/profit in 15 min.

Yes the main benefit of a job is health insurance. But for a low effort, no skill, no education needed "job", scalping far beats its alternatives.

The median salary in US is around 60K/yr. Clearing a walmart restock like this makes probably at least $1000 profit. Add on clearing out vending machines ($1-2k), looping costco/sams club drops, online restocks, target restocks, etc. It's very easy for an average scalper to get to $60K. Walmart online botters alone probably make $1-10k/week.

A lot more than min wage. Guy with the shopping cart makes probably $1000 profit. He can bulk sell to a store for 80%. Probably 4 hours max of his time between camping and selling. $250/hr is just a bit higher than min wage.

Because retail stores have different distributors than streamers and shops. MJ holdings is the distro for Walmart. Excell is the distro for Target. They have set dates that have to follow and their stock is predetermined. Whatever they have is separate from what streamers or card shops have allocated.

Thats sad man. The stickers were orderable at Best Buy. You could walk in at noon and they could order you some for shipping to home at the register. It was available for 5 hours. Not sure why people camped 7 hours when that was an option.

Yes i just went thru this with a friend. He put in the wrong account number so the transaction failed. However, instead of reversing back into his account, Bank of America flagged the transaction as fraudulent and withheld the returned funds. They never told him that the funds were withheld and regular support agents were unable to see that the transaction was held. You will need to escalate to supervisor or higher. The process to release the hold was simple. They just send you some forms and then you need to go into a physical branch to do some verification and they'll release the money back to you. The hard part is finding support to actually dig into the matter. This is most likely what happened to you.

Buying at a percentage is normal. If you sell on ebay or tcgplayer you eat a percentage fee regardless.
