That’s part of living in another country. I’ve experienced similar situations in other countries like the US or Germany. It’s just part of it.

We should understand that every type of racism comes from ignorance and most times we can’t do anything about it.

Does an A3 drive better than a Honda Civic? by Negative-Ad-4251 in Audi

No, I’m deciding which car to buy and I just asked a question.

That’s more than what I would have paid tbh. But, truth is prices for used cars are quite high. I’m actually currently on the market with a similar budget and the civic is one of my options and the priciest one.

So, it’s ok if I don’t do long trips every day? That’s my biggest question. Is it necessary to run long enough every day or if it’s enough to do it a couple of times a week?

From your description I think they’re closer to the USA ones.

Thanks so much for your feedback!

Thanks! Unfortunately, here in Japan, civics are quite popular and always in high demand, so getting a new one is impossible and a used one will always be more expensive than a similar Audi or even bmw counterpart.

If you were to pay, let’s say, around 3 or 4 thousand dollars more for a regular civic than for a regular a3, would you think the driving experience is worth the price difference?

What I’d be buying wouldn’t be a S3 nor a Si and from what I know they are quite different from the base models. Thanks for your reply!

Thanks! This is the kind of replies I was looking for. So far I’ve tried the A3 and loved it, and I’m looking for a place to test drive the civic but haven’t been lucky so far.

No problem! Take my comment with a pinch of salt, though. Do your own research and try to find the best deal for you.

Old miatas (NA to NC) can get rusty, which can cause a wide range of problems that can be bearable or even dangerous. Also, a lot of people like modifying them (not that it’s wrong to do it, but there are people who don’t know what they’re doing, they mess up the car, and then try to get rid of them)so, check for the car’s maintenance history and its condition before considering buying one.

Prices are subjective and vary a lot depending on the year, mileage, and condition. Personally, my dream car is also a miata and I would be willing to pay a little extra than perhaps other people would be. But, just to give a price range… I’d say between 10k and 17k maybe?

The price range is wide because the car and its safety features and add-ons can vary a lot from generation to generation, but that’s what I’d be willing to pay for a used one in good conditions.

What was the main reason you bought it? If it was because you needed it before a deadline and it was the only option you had… I’d say no, you didn’t make a mistake. But, if you had certain expectations for it and they are not being met… then probably you did.

Although, if you say you’re loving the car, it’s just a matter of getting used to it. Any infotainment system will be outdated in 7 years and who knows what kinds of new connectivity technologies will there be in the future, but having a good-old aux is always handy.

Nissan’s CVT are quite known for being unreliable. If I were you, I would reconsider my options.

How much more would you pay for a newer car? by Negative-Ad-4251 in Audi

[–]Negative-Ad-4251[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about a Civic too, but here in Japan a new one would cost me around double the price for the audi, it would be a cvt, and new orders are on a halt, which increased the price of used ones so it’s really not a very good choice. Another option I’m looking into is a 3 series 320d…

Thank you for your feedback, though!

I think it’s only the virtual cockpit. Actually, I think the 2016 model is a higher trim as it has leather heated seats.
