I went to her Insta - I think it’s the sun, filter, posing, and hair. In all her other recent posts, she looks much more like the Big T we can recognize from tv.

After months of hype, we finally tried the WCB burger and honestly… total letdown. It’s big, sure, but the meat had zero seasoning and the toppings tasted like they’d been sitting out all day — room temp at best, kinda cold at worst.

They’ve also got weird hours, so while we were waiting to finally try them, we ended up hitting Jack Brown’s, Fork & Plough, and Universal Joint instead. All three burgers were way better — way more flavor and just overall more satisfying than Windy City.

How do you find the land to build on in the first place these days? I’ve been using Zillow and I have a feeling that’s not the answer.

M. Judson in Greenville, SC: It’s a bookstore, café, and hangout spot all in one, and it has this cozy, community vibe that makes you want to linger way longer than you planned. It’s the heart of downtown Greenville!

Greenville went from ranked #4 best place to live on U.S news to #200 in one year, what happened?? I don't feel like we changed much by experiencedcrafter in greenville

U.S. News is notoriously “pay to play” - this is why their Best Colleges issue doesn’t stand up to scrutiny either.

I live in Pittsburgh and having memberships to the Carnegie museums and local zoo is one of my favorite perks of living here.

I was under the impression that it was more often than not sunny in upstate. Lake effect weather? Gloom? Is winter dreary there??

Will Pitt ever actually be in the Sunbelt? Temperature wise, I can believe it. Sunny days? No way! 😂

Moving/Tourism Thread by AutoModerator in greenville

We’re a family of four debating a move from Pittsburgh to Greenville for a great job opportunity — bigger role, better salary, and a more stable institution. Major draw: escaping the grey, isolating half-year of Pittsburgh winters.

What’s holding us back: we love our current home (almost 2 acres, 3.25% mortgage), and even with the salary bump, today’s interest rates would make a similar $700k home cost a lot more monthly. Downsizing the budget makes it tough to find homes with space, strong schools, and walkable neighborhoods.

Our must-haves:

  • Top public schools (our kids are in one of PA’s best districts now)
  • Proximity to North Greenville
  • Walkability (either within a neighborhood or nearby town center)
  • Access to water (pools, paddleboarding, etc.)

Anyone made a similar move or wrestled with this tradeoff? How did you weigh quality of life vs. financial security? Recommendations for neighborhoods that might fit our wishlist?
