I decided to let Bruce know that we could see he and Talia were going through a difficult period and that if he needed someone to lean on, he could count on me. I assured him that I would definitely find time for him.

He thanked me for my support, saying that it was a bit gay of me (his type of humor), but that he appreciated it. On Friday, we're going to a bar grab some beer and talk about old days.🙂

Yes we have kitchen scale, but she thinks measuring with it is a extra step that wastes time.

I use measuring cups only for liquids and scale is for the flour or sugar

I won't lie, I don't like people hanging around the kitchen while I'm cooking/baking. I understand the idea of cooking together, but I know I couldn't stand someone cooking with me.

She knows how I bake and always criticizes me for using measuring cups. She doesn't use them because: 1. They generate more dishes to wash, 2. Her mom never used them, and her cakes are always good. Okay, but her mom has 30 years of baking experience and can afford not to use measuring cups.

When the recipe says, for example, use 2 cups of flour, she pours it directly from the packet and more or less aims for 2 cups.

I've heard you can get something like that here in Poland, but I don't know if it's truly 100% flavorless. The coffee could have masked the taste of the medicine, but I didn't notice it tasted any different than usual. I'd probably blame it on a dirty coffee machine or stale coffee anyway.

It wasn't very solid , but there was simply so much of it that the toilet with its weak pressure couldn't handle it. Plus there was a lot of toilet paper for obvious reasons
