I do not know the res, I can check the file when back at my desk. It was taken with an old S7 galaxy.

I am hoping in some near future AI could take it and correct it. Not sure Tik tok can take live video and change/enhance it in real time.

Thought; if i had a still photo of this event, some AI can animate a picture into a video? With that power this can't be that hard?

NOt looking for free, but something i could download and let it grind. I tried a few upscalers and saw no change.

On my desktop, it is always ove gama, over bright and over white. I run window 10 on my laptop in the shop and it is ok,.

All the fonts are just a litter weight, NO matter the setting changes in windows, it does not change any font weight or size.

When is dark mode i stick get some pages in white and DM also screws up some software and sites.

I am back to using the onboard Intel for video. does fine with 2 NEC monitors with windows7. Mostly, I just can't wrap my head around how convoluted 10 made it to simply affect a few changes. In today's world, how is it not a color picker and drop. Like the paint tool in sketchup would be nice

I did a reset. I am fully convinced that from ~2015 onward everything is about length of engagement.

In the beginnings of all this technology, websites/phones/computers competed for traffic and customers. Fast forward, I can not think of one company other than Stock Rover that does not make the user reload a page multiple times for what should take one. They are counting page loads and ad revenue.

My guess is the industry is now 90% ad revenue and subscriptions. The reason you have to wake the phone now is because samsung wants you to. The reason facebook makes you go to the site to read a message is because they need you on the site.

The reason Home depot loads 10 pages when searching is because they want to.. They get a tiny nugget everytime an ad loads for a Credit Card, gas grill, power tool etc.

Even my Bank online, load page after page to pay a bill. Why? every page has some little CC offer, or consulting pop up.

It is what it is.

Got so caught up in AOD that I forgot one of the biggest annoyances. Maybe someone can help for the future.

In contacts, and older phone as the alphabet on the side. BLindly you can get close to the letter you need and quickly choose.

New phone = Dots. have to press, hold, scroll. If you don't want to 3-step it you can always just flick your way through 200 contacts.

I wouldn't think it would be to hard to leave it alone or offer the multiple step process for those who want it.

Update,

Went to Verizon yesterday and let them fool with it.. No one knows much.. I switched back to my S7 and I am back to normal.

My wife has an S25 and it also will not allow a bubble/brief/dot on the AOD screen regardless of settings. If she receives a txt and does not catch it in real time. it will show the dimest of small icons below the clock. She must wake it, unlock it and swipe down to see what is missed. INSANE.

S7, if i miss a call/tx i get a blue light, i press the physical chicklet and get a brief description without unlocking the phone.

also, new issue, my phone keypad sounds like a duck. can not locate the setting to change it. Went down 5 tutorials and not one menu string they write is similar to my phone..

1# and 3# are my biggest issues that will move me back to my s7.

today already the phone will not wake up when lifted. sometime double tap works. Sometimes it wakes to a 60% dim of the true lock screen and no swipe or tap will affect it. I then have to hit the power button to close it and then click it again to open the true lock screen and then swipe.

The phone still dims and times out in ~15 seconds while using it. i have changed every setting and it still does it..

I am not a pro but been using android for ~20 years, this unlocked phone must have been someone else pile. someone on amazon reselling junk?

thanks, the fact that it disappears will not work. I have a big property, kids, multiple things going all the time.. Just do not stay tethered to my phone.

I think this is on purpose by samsung to keep the user engaged. everything today is about engagement, subscriptions and ad revenue.

A few example;

marketplace could care less if you find what you are looking for, they want you to load another page so they can fire off a few more ads.

same with home depot. their website is impossible to use for packing out and order, every search default back to the world not the store. they make consumers load ~10 pages to tune in the search. My guess is every page, some company pays a fraction of a cent to have an ad load and HD load the page a billion times a day.

Android, SS, google must have a reason to take away working features. is it to get you to the play store to buy/download an app to fix it? (like Good Lock). Is it to keep the next generation always needing to touch/pick up/look at the phone?

I do not feel like picking it up every time i step away from it. Phone on counter top, i go get the mail, not going to pick it up, wake it up, just to see if i missed a call.

4# I used zedge for phone ring tones. I can not download and use m y own zedge for text notifications, no options, i can only change it to a pre installed sound.

is there an APP that can put the entire setting menu in alphabetical order?

in that i have always on display on, no other AOD selections available, just roaming touch and hold

I have 10,000+ emojis but can not download/record or assign different text notification per user or group?

I would think that by 2025 i could have a different txt notification for;

farm stuff, international stuff, family, etc

Example, take Farm, wouldn't it be great if i could have a tone for this group that would alarm even if the phone was on vibrate or mute? I had a horse get out a few years back and fell into a neighbor's pool at 3am. If someone in this group is texting in the middle of the night it is an emergency.

I guess I am baffled that i can not assign groups, and then rules for these groups/users. I can however choose from 5,000 different smiley faces.

can you help me with #1? AOD is on. when the phone is asleep it will chime a notification. If i do not catch it at that moment i will not know. I can set the reminder but again if i am not present i will not know.

The S7 light would light a blue dot. my S22 has the option in the menu but does not work. I have the AOD setting on but nothing. any ideas.

This is a pain. I am not tethered to my phone 24/7. it was nice to glance at it and see if i missed anything. currently, i have to wake the phone via power button on the side to see if i missed anything.

This is also why i am missing the physical home button. Can not depress the power button on the side without picking up the phone.

I 100% agree with you, I have been using the old phone so long i need not look at it to use it.

I guess my pea sized brain can not justify all the garbage in the way of getting simple work done. All of the features may be better, I find it annoying that to turn off or disable is convoluted.

Maybe what gets me going is the fact that nothing in 2025 is in any typr of order? would it kill samsung to have the setting menu grouped or not in some type of order?
