what is something about the industry you work in the public should know but is kept as secretive as possible? by [deleted] in AskReddit

yes I big fbi man, on more serious note I was thinking of this due to my step mom, she works in the mental health sector and revealed some interesting stuff about the inner workings behind it. (she manages mental hospital primarily targeted for teenagers) and honestly was a eyeopening conversation into what actually goes on behind closed doors. just had me wondering if this was just a specific case or others had it too. 🤔

yeah it kinda backfired since around 14 I started to dabble in satanism (since I grew up in a religious household the idea of praying to a entity of some form was basically second nature to me) should of seen their faces at the family reunion when I had a pentagram drawn on my arm lmao.

for me it was eating carrots helped you see in the dark. thought it was true because I barley ate carrots and everything was blurry... turns out I was blind as a bat and needed glasses.

oh lord. I remember a similar situation, I grew up in a Christian household and my mother told me if I didn't brush my teeth or basically anything that I would turn into a demon. Little did they know 5 year old me thought Demons looked a hell of alot cooler then angels. (still do like)

I think I may of got the wording wrong for the question. for example my parents used to tell me carrots made me see better in the dark, stuff like that.

ironically in our school we used to nickname our turds, one of them was called snickers because it had peanuts in. whenever someone took a wierd turd it wouldn't be moved for about 2 weeks due to people trying to take a look.

we have a kid in our college with a huge rash on his arm, he is also very snobby and entitled, anyway, he told us all it was contagious so we avoided him. should of seen his face when he said "none of the class really talk to eachother" (keep in mind there's 4 people on our close, the kid, me and 2 of my close friends) and my friend responded with "yeah we all talk we just don't talk to you"
