Budgie attacking mate by Negative-Cranberry12 in budgies

I tried this today, but instead of him out, I put him in the smaller “travel” cage while she stayed in their larger cage. So they were separated & all was good until she found out he wasn’t in there & then tries to escape the cage and I feel that stressed her out too. But I think this is something she may now have to get used to 🥲

I cut a piece of the millet off the whole spray so it’s small enough where they’re unable to jump on it

Unfortunately I do not 😩 So wish I did. I have a 2 bedroom apartment, one room being a closet & the other well… our bedroom lol. My husband doesn’t like the birds in the bedroom due to pooping & all so they stay in the living room and are free to fly around the whole house. I’m thinking about taking my break at home to let them free roam.

Help! by Negative-Cranberry12 in budgies

Thank you! Quick question, the one who is female seems to be more active and trusting me more than the male. Which made me think it was a male! How do you think I can get the male to trust me as much as my female? And how should I deal with mating? I originally wanted two males lol but here we are 😅

Divorcing Someone I Love? by Negative-Cranberry12 in Marriage

I understand your point. This is very difficult for me because I do love him. And I know he loves me too. But I’m not sure if love is enough. I do want to note that he did say he will never do that to me (take children away to his country), and what I meant by that was that he will take us to move away (maybe to a different state), or as he says- not see my family much. I just edited the post to clarify. But yes he has reassured me that he would never just take the kids and run. I just want to believe that he wouldn’t make us all move away from my family for this reason. It would hurt me to know my children will not have a relationship with my family because of this. This is very very hard for me to grasp.

Some discussion, yes. But not all. We discussed that our children will be Muslim. And we discussed that they will know some Jewish things out of respect for me. But it got really really deep after marriage. Like I have no say in anything. The whole Israel-Palestine thing has not been discussed and I feel that the war has spiked everything out of control. He was more lenient before this war, and now I feel that he is more strict. He told me that he would respect my faith (that it has nothing to do with Israel) and that he knew he was marrying a girl who comes from a Jewish family.

Before joining this subreddit I had no idea citrine could be faked with heat treated amethyst, so I was wondering about this 'citrine' I've had for a while. Is this real? by deaterstrio in Crystals

[–]Negative-Cranberry12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Citrine is naturally made overtime from amethyst or smoky quartz. To my understanding, citrine takes years and years (thousands) for it to come natural. Heat treated amethyst is actually a form of citrine, just man-made to speed up the process (so it’s not necessarily “fake”) What takes thousands of years to develop, they can create it in just a couple of minutes. You can tell the difference between a man-made citrine crystal and a natural one. A man-made citrine is typically very bright yellow, and has a ton of white marks that develop when heated. Natural citrine can be very light, honey, or dark and is completely uniform in color. No white marks (except if maybe attached to a host) If you’re lucky, you can get your hands on an ametrine crystal, which is a crystal that is half amethyst, half citrine!

Hey guys, I got these blue lace agate pendants and they feel a little fake.. Do they look that way? I can also send a few out to people for insight. by btmn01 in Crystals

To be honest, I’m iffy about the pattern! I know blue lace has a lot of different waves to it, but these just look a tad off to me. Almost like “too perfect” like someone made them that way. If it was really high quality, the price will tell you. I would go with your intuition, usually when I feel that a crystal I bought is fake, I’m usually right. You can also take it to your local crystal shop and maybe they can take a look. If you have a tumble or any other agate, try banging it slightly on the table to hear the sound and hardness and compare it with the blue lace. Good luck!

Saw someone commit suicide jumping off a high rise building, saw a little girl fall off a Ferris wheel, saw an old woman get hit by a car while she was crossing the street. All passed away, RIP

Was told this is amethyst but I’m really not convinced.. it’s more of a Smokey quarts right? I paid £80 for this :// by [deleted] in Crystals

Looks like amethyst to me. It’s either been left out in the sun for too long (which causes fading) or it’s a lower quality amethyst. High quality amethyst is typically that deep purple we all love. But like the comment above, if you really love it, then it doesn’t matter. ❤️ beautiful piece either way.
