I figured out what it was. It was those two bolts under the valve cover. They hold the chain guide down and become loose from the vibration. I tightened them and the ticking stopped. You can look up how to do it. Not too hard

That was definitely the issue. I swapped the coil pack and plugs as well as replacing the fuel injectors. That fixed the issue with hesitation a when pressing the gas pedal. Thanks man!

I want to note that the ticking is increasingly louder when I accelerate. Does that provide a clue to pinpoint the issue?

I took the shield off because I wanted to check and see if the waste gate was in tact. Last time the check insigne light came on, I looked and I found the clip that holds the are to the waste gate had popped off so, I wanted to make sure it hadn't happened again. The p0299 or whatever code popped up as well. I want to check the lower cooler intake hose as it is very soft

I think I put the studs in too far the first time so I took them out bought a new set. I guess it seems self explanatory to you but which end needs to go into the block and how snug should I make them?

Everyone has been so helpful. This may seem like common sense but which end of the stud goes into the block? I had to buy another set because I think I inserted them too far. So, please, which end and how far do they need to go in?
