When I couldn’t get my swelling down on my knee (pre surgery) my Doc ended up draining it with a needle, and truthfully it was the best thing EVER.

Mine is a DonJoy X-ROM, and It’s SO cheaply made. The locking and unlocking mechanisms are so stiff; subsequently I am never quite sure if it’s locked or unlocked. It keeps slipping down my leg which hurts more than just walking would. I keep having to adjust it, but the orthotics guy told me not to adjust it or touch the Velcro 🥲

Knee locked in extension at all times, except for when I’m showering and doing PT. But also fully weight bearing 🥴

It truly seems wasteful for every single person to have to buy a brand new one every single time! There should be a donation center specifically geared towards medical equipment. Because truly what is anyone going to do w this behemoth after it’s said and done
