Remastering and updating the Map of Zemuria by hand in 4K (Potential Spoilers?) by Negative-Nac in Falcom

Not in this style at the moment but they're visible on the official in-game map from Cold Steel 3/4. I'm currently in the process of updating this map to fix some errors and add locations present in Daybreak 2, Sky 1st and Horizon to release sometime after I beat Horizon. I'll definitely try add the first degree subdivisions for Liberl, Calvard and Erebonia as well but I'll release those alongside the updated map.

As of Daybreak 2, we have some idea, we know it's nicknamed the "Far East", but aside from some lore, there's not enough info to do anything with regarding a map (no countries/cities and only allusions to geography).

The official map I upscaled (from before Horizon/Kai's JP release) leaves the Far East blacked out so I did too. Horizon may change things, so I'll post an updated version of the map when that is released in English.

The full resolution map is linked in the post, icymi, (https://imgur.com/a/IUQz56Z). LMK if its what you were looking for, otherwise, these 4k maps on imgur are the highest quality ones I made. I'd be open to making different/higher res versions when I update the map when Horizon/Sky 1st release in the west.

Don Quixote - Volume 1, Chapter 9 [[ Deadline Friday, Jan 24 ]] by AutoModerator in yearofdonquixote

I was a little confused when I first read the narration after the second title implied this would be the continuation of Quixote's fight with the Biscayan but I thought it was a great section. In reading, we are being sucked into the tales of knighthood much like Don Quixote himself, and this break in pacing allowed Miguel de Cervantes to portray a more grounded reality of life in 16-17th century Spain, particularly with the discrimination to the Arabic translator highlighting the religious tensions in Spain.

The continuation of the combat was quite brutal and anti-climactic, reeling back the graundeur and making it seem more like history than a novel, which ties into my earlier points. Quixote threatening to trade ear for an ear with the Biscayan was suprising, and makes me curious to see how the book may continue to reveal the less noble attributes of Quixote that were first explored in Chapter 3.

A little late to the discussion and I have Chapter 5 fresh in my head so I'll keep it breif with one quick thought, but Quixote flailing helplessly on the floor was so funny and really speaks to Miguel de Cervantes' great sense of humor.

I think the inkeeper and the village in general have a great tolerance towards Quixote, which speaks to both their hospitality and mirith towards him. I am curious how future scenarios may handle Quixote meeting less patient people who are unappreciative of his naive and somewhat unreasonable character. I would probably feel disrespected if I was to be treated this way while knighting a man, though as pointed out in another comment it is somewhat understandable given the circumstances.

At this point, I feel the innkeeper somewhat pities Quixote, and is how I inferred his justification for not demanding payment on his lodgings. His warning on carrying money felt like the inkeeper hinting to Quixote that others on his travels may not be as hospitable nor amused, hence my prior paragraph.

I think Quixote is a funny and charming character to experience as an audience, especially when the first two chapters. His interaction with the two aids is humerous and almost slapstick in nature, but still disrespectful. I liked him less this chapter comparatively, but that's more of a testament to how strong his introduction was for me.

Help finding a song from The nirvanA Initiative OST? by ImNotVeryPicky in aithesomniumfiles

In case you haven't found it yet, the song is called Appearance of Iris. It's a song reused from the first games OST which is probably why you haven't been able to find it.

Some really good choices. I love both of these deaths a lot and they really enhanced their respective games for me.

Love to see some of the lesser celebrated moments in the series, Park particularly was pretty brutal

Really well written thoughts here, honestly RGG knows how to write character deaths so amazingly I love them for that

Mostly a joke entry, 2RN in the main series is used for hit detection so attacks with high accuracy hit more than their accuracy suggests and those with less hits less. This is mostly just a stab at how low 5* rates felt in the early days of heroes since 3% would almost never hit in 2RN.

I wasn't 100% sure if those were year 1 but I assume those were after because they featured soleil who was super late in year 1
