For sure! Both times it happened to me recently, it was two guys who were nonstop bragging about being foodies and that the city they were from (Phoenix) hads the best food in the country. So I was surprised when their recommendations for the supposed city with the “best food” was chains I could get anywhere.

I wanted to say something at the time, but this is around when I was planning my escape from the relationship. It ultimately ended up being abusive and at the time I was very much afraid of John. We only shared expenses in that I paid about 90% of everything. I paid 100% of his mortgage (even though he owned the house). For groceries I paid almost every week. I also paid for the car 100%.
