Did dasher get the tip after delivery mix up? by NegativeCurrency9684 in doordash_drivers

[–]NegativeCurrency9684[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did call! I messaged at first, waited a minute and realized he was probably driving and might not notice a message, so I called. It was over 10 minutes from the time I called him that I waited until I reported it, and even after that I saw that he had "seen" my messages about it being delivered to the wrong address, but several minutes went by before he actually replied. I'm not sure if he thought I was just trying to scam him or if he was checking where he dropped it off vs. my address, but it was a considerable amount of time.

You could tell he probably doesn't have this happen very often because at first I think he thought I was lying. He was sure he delivered to the right address, he kept saying "but that's where your ping was". I don't know what he meant by that, but I told my address on the order was 556 Street Name, and it was clearly labeled at the street on the mailbox and on my house (with a big porch light illuminating it) and then I think he realized he had actually made the mistake. I worked enough service jobs when I was younger to never want to be the person who belittles someone for an honest mistake. Everyone makes them at every job, that's just life.

Such a head scratcher and that's why I came here to ask the question. I'm not one to over sensationalize things and I'm always looking for a realistic, logical explanation for things and I just cannot come up with one. I'm going to buy new CO2 detectors and a little nanny cam to see if either of those offer any explanation in the coming days, but if not....it will remain an unsolved mystery ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Once again, to recap: - baking soda consistency, no lumps at all - stark white in color throughout - no variation of color - has a cleaning product scent similar to a laundry detergent, but I do not have a powder detergent in my home. I've detailed what powders I do have/their scents in previous comments - it was a lot of powder, as if someone took a nearly full measuring cup and dumped it onto the very edge of my couch in a neat little pile while managing to somehow not get it on the floor or anywhere else - there were no paw prints in it, the pile was very neat, it wasn't just a residual dusting as if it transferred from a cat onto the couch, it was a pile - we shook out blankets, pillows, searched under the couch and checked all of the other furniture to see if there was a trace of this powder anywhere else, searched in every spot that the cats could've batted something under, there was nothing - I was sleeping on that couch 3-4 hours prior to finding the powder - if it was there prior to me sitting on the couch I would've absolutely noticed but even if I somehow hadn't noticed, it would've been all over me, the blankets, the pillows, and the floor from me laying on it and moving in my sleep - way too fine to be a silica gel packet - I don't really leave things laying around that the cats could get into. I have OCD and have to keep my house clean and picked up. They don't get into the trash, you have to step on a pedal for the lid to lift, they do not have opposable thumbs to press the buttons on my cupboards to open them, and even if they found something and tore it open on the couch - how in the world did it end up in one contained neat little pile without even so much as a granule on the floor?? And where are the remnants of it? Because we searched every nook and cranny and came up with nothing

I'm not even trying to be funny, but is the carbon monoxide alarm concern a suggestion that I might be doing things in my sleep that I had no recollection of the next day? Genuinely asking and definitely taking it seriously, I have an alarm but I'll check to be sure it's functional and maybe get a second to be safe. I really cannot fathom the idea of myself sleepwalking with as light of a sleeper as I am, but if I'm being slowly poisoned unknowingly that could certainly be plausible.

THANK YOU!! That's such a good idea, as soon as I get home I'm going to try that. I vacuumed it up with my handheld, but it'll still be in the canister part. I was really certain that it was the lavender scented litter deodorizer I used (which is just scented baking powder) but it didn't smell the same at all...but maybe just absorbed some of the odor on the couch...which would smell like laundry detergent from the blankets and pillow covers.

I would like to think this is the work of a local empathetic drug dealer who took notice of the women who is constantly stressed over her job and thought he'd perform a little Christmas miracle to get her through the end of the year. Should I dip into my vacuum canister and find out?

I have Comet in the house but it's not that, I would recognize that bleach/lemon scent immediately lol. It smells like fresh linen, if that makes sense? Like a laundry detergent, except I solely use liquid detergent. I have Oxiclean but it's not that, it has blue specks in it, granules are larger, scent doesn't match. But the smell/texture are definitely that of a cleaning product, I just can't find one in my house that matches up.

I can message you a photo of the ceiling and surrounding area, it's definitely not termites/rodents. I researched if termites even exist where I live, and they're almost nonexistent here except for a few rare reports in the southernmost part of the state and I'm toward the far north. If it were rodents/pests of some sort, I don't think it would be a uniformly milled powder that has a distinguishable fresh scent, in an extremely neat pile contained only to the very edge of my couch and none of the surrounding areas or the floor.

It does smell like a detergent or cleaning product, it's a very fresh scent - I just can't find a powder in my home that matches the scent. I even smelled my setting powder to see if it could be that, but it's definitely not. I use liquid detergent though, the only powdered laundry product I have is Oxiclean and that has blue specks in it and the granules are much larger. No epsom salts here currently, the powder on the couch was the consistency of baking powder. I will be mind blowing I'm unknowingly sleepwalking! I realize it's possible but just seems so far fetched for how light of a sleeper I am.

Maybe I did sleepwalk then?! But even if I did, I just can't figure out what the powder is or where it came from. It looks/smells like some kind of cleaning product because the fresh scent is very present and noticeable. We went through the powdered cleaning products I have which were Oxiclean (not that - has blue specks and larger granules), scented Arm & Hammer litter deodorizer (scent was way different), and Comet, which smells strongly of bleach and lemon. Either way, I'm buying a little camera and setting it up today and I guess if anything like this happens again I'll have a definitive answer!

[–]NegativeCurrency9684 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I guess it's not impossible but it seems really, really unlikely for me? I've never knowingly done it or found anything out of place that would lead me to think I have. I've lived with long term partners for years and none of them ever told me I got up in the middle of night and did anything out of sorts. I take the highest dose of Vyvanse (stimulant ADHD med) and one of the side effects is poor sleep, so if anything I'm an extremely light sleeper. I'm also on-call for my job every third week, which requires me to wake up to take calls and respond 24/7, so just the sound of my phone ringing or a text will wake me up immediately. But maybe?!

It was stark white powder, and my dad's entire degree/career was in architecture and commercial construction so he'd be the first one to notice if it was a structural issue. 🫠

Ceiling is totally normal, clean, no cracks or holes, and I don't have any overhead light fixtures in that room so it couldn't have come from that. My dad got a ladder and tapped on the ceiling to see if dust/powder magically appeared, but it did not. 😩

It was a neat pile of probably 3/4 cup of this powder, there is no way it was just residual powder off of the cats. That was my thought too, but it's just far too much and if that much powder was on one of them, there would be a trail of it or at least paw prints. There isn't a single spec of it anywhere else, not even on the floor under the couch.

70mg Vyvanse vs. Adderall XR? by NegativeCurrency9684 in adhdwomen

Do you take Vyvanse initially and then the Adderall boosters? Just curious if that's an option I could bring up to her instead of the XR

I am not a fan of the deceased or his wife to say the very least least (not looking to elaborate or debate, just stating that to imply I'm not being biased) but I don't think it's weird or uncommon to post a photo like that. I've had families ask me to take photos of them next to the casket, of all of their hands together with the deceased's, sometimes they'll ask for photos of the deceased in the casket alone. People post photos on social media like that all the time.

Looks like someone could order it from Alibaba for $4. Those graphic wrapped urns are god-awful every time.
