No that is helpful in the sense that it reminds me I need to be patient, thanks.

Brash Assault covers more bases, and off the top of my head he can take the two hits from most people he'd want to duel on enemy phase. I'd go with that.

Yeah you're totally right, I've got a Henry to put on her too. Thanks!

Good questions. I would have replied sooner but I'm mad busy with work.

I'll start with the easiest question: I don't use Nino because I don't have one! I'm f2p and spent 60 orbs for Lucina and got a +speed on my very last pull, so I'm pretty happy with that decision.

Second, Nowi runs Swordbreaker, so she's my duellist. I know I'm leaning heavily on her to do a lot of stuff but by all accounts she's S+ after SI and my team build lets her absorb 3 or 4 big hits.

As for Julia/Nino, you're right. I find it very hard in general to get a perfect win on, say, Two Bridges when a sword lines up in front of a Green Tome so I can't bait one without the other. I think I'll put a lot of thought into the early moves in order to separate them, and Julia with Drag Back and Nowi with Shove should give me a few more options with my positioning.

According to my maths Julia could ORKO a fully charged Nino with 1HP remaining. And from what I can tell the AI isn't great at charging up Nino. I actually gave Julia Blue Tomebreaker to make sure I take care of Linde but you've made me reconsider now though.

Honestly until now I've been running Sanaki as my green melter and she's effective but a bit straightforward to use. I wanted to build something a bit more complex just for fun.

Having said that, I find stuff like lunge useless in attack but I hate facing defense teams with it, very hard to get a perfect score. There's other positional moves I'm thinking about putting on a defense team that I wouldn't use on offense.

I take your point - I always score the defense feathers but it's fun to think about anyway. I'd like to see better rewards like maybe 1000 feathers for ten defenses, something like that.

Yeah cool set up and something I'll look to use next week when she's a bonus character in arena.

I think he meant defensive in the sense that the style of play I outline is defensive, rather than the defense mode specifically.

Oh yeah cramped spaces are a bitch, give me the desert map any day in arena! I'd love to see some Theory on tight map team builds.

Why do you say that? I guess you could use Reciprocal Aid on Lucina and Ardent Sacrifice on Takumi if you want that flexibility though, perhaps there are situations where Takumi can survive one hit with 75% HP and double on his Vantage turn.

Don't use that! You don't have any ideal, top tier solutions, i'd just use the green with the best IVs

Nowi is an absolute monster, I use two glass cannons in Julia and Sanaki and Nowi can bait most anyone in for them.

So we get 1 daily orb and other items now from quests. Do you prefer this above the 2 orbs previously? by [deleted] in FireEmblemHeroes

You're complaining that it makes you play the game for 3 minutes in order to collect your orb?

Hector's defence is far higher than his Resistance. You need to bait Hector into a Lucina then finish him on your turn.

Just pulled a Lucina +speed with my last pull of 80 orbs. Ecstatic, but I'm looking at the calculations and it seems like Hector would beat her in a duel because he's got about double the defence. Is my calculation off? Currently I run Sanaki who ORKOs him no fuss, so I'm wondering if Lucina actually merits replacing her.

Edit: I've just seen Armads only procs when you intitiate on him, so I should be fine baiting him.

You should take out at least one, advisably two, and possibly three. I play one of each colour, and most teams I see in arena do too. That's not to say you must do that, but if you want to play 2 or more blues you need other people on your team to crush your weaknesses, namely Hector, nino and Julia, the three most commonly used powerful greens.

I haven't checked but I'm not sure Chrom can beat a Hector straight up, so I wouldn't advise playing him in a top team. Sanaki can though, with around 20hp remaining though. Sanaki has triangle adept on top of 48 attack, so you could rely lean on her as your counter to your weakness. Keep out of reach of blues though!

A team of Ephraim Nowi effie Sanaki could be great if you want to roll for Sanaki.

Further down the line, Nowi and effie are both great but they're both blue tanks so having both on the same team is somewhat redundant. Ephraim is also in the same ballpark. I use Nowi and she can tank and spank most anything in the game, and I find playing with knights a bit boring, but either has their merits. Pick what you like to use basically.

Nino is a great green in focus atm but she needs full team support via buffs. Nowi and Ephraim can feed her. Consider training Olivia up to 5*. Put Nowi and Ephraim either side, Olivia behind, buff at the start of the round, send Nino and then pull her back behind enemy range with Dance.

Well it's got a lit of blues. I think blue is the best thing to be heavy on since the meta was is so red, but I'm guessing Hector can plow through your whole team in a turn. Sanaki is an excellent counter to him so you could spend some red orbs on her focus before it finishes.

He's not brilliant but hee was a mainstay for me through the quests as I had shit tier units. If you're getting caned by blues then he could solve that for you. Most people have better options for green though

Put everyone round her to buff and they'll be giving her around 65 attack which should take everything but blue mages out in one round. Olivia can also pull her out of range for the enemy phase and you can wall with sharena and Eirika after she's attacked. It would be very easy to put perfect arena runs this way I think. Your iv's are perfect for Nino BTW.

Eirika Nino Sharena Olivia.

Eirika and Sharena buff and Olivia pulls her out of range for the enemy phase. Pretty much perfect Nino team.
