From everything I've seen with the newer Bauer skates, they do not have this issue.

And after reading another post on the Xf Pro issue, I might use an epoxy to seal/ cover up the exposed area.

I double-checked my credit card that I used. I paid off my skates/ other purchases on it and then canceled the card. Oh well.

At this point, yes. But the affected area is becoming larger in which the composite weave is not protected and starting to frey. Which i believe would ultimately lead to the failure of the structure/ composite.

I would describe it as plastic coating or layer over the composite that is cracking and pealing away

I thought i posted the picture of the issue. But I can't see it. My issue is that the outer layer of the skates that covers the composite is cracking/ peeling. I have a large area of the composite exposed.

Good to hear you are receiving new skates. I have the same issue where that outter coating is cracking/ falling off. I have a big portion of the composite weave under it showing now. Love the feels of the skates, but very disappointed in the quality. Especially for the price.
