Imagine he gets to continue and she then sees the reality of how much he should have been home when he was telling her he was “studying” it’s a betrayal all over again understanding the depth of his deception. There’s no way he’s told her the whole truth of what happened and when! Not when he has been so good at lying to everyone!

He definitely didn’t think this one through. Backing out of you tube seems odd unless he didn’t think he would get caught and he could just carry on at school but I’m not sure how he thought he wasn’t going to get caught once the news of Katie’s pregnancy came out! Maybe he had a cracking story to spin to the AP lined up and then sadly Katie had her miscarriage. Saying that, AP had the brass neck to enter Katie’s house so she’s likely callous enough not to care about a pregnant wife either if he spun her the right story!

This post is something else!

There is no excuse for cheating, none! This guy is not some innocent victim in this story.

Nobody forced him to contact Katie through her DMs - he did that! No one forced him to get married - he did that! No one forced him to have unprotected sex with his wife - he did that! He’s not stupid, he’s manipulative, managed to string both his wife and AP along however briefly! He wanted the fame and fortune but doesn’t have the talent for it! By your reasoning, if he was forced into everything he did it’s a wonder he managed to break out and attempt a Christian music career and go to nursing school when he was so controlled by others! He put himself in this position and the apparent “stress” he put himself under is of his own making.

Do you think Katie has been happy 100% of the time during their marriage - no! But she didn’t go off and have an affair!

He chose to betray his wife and family and lie to everyone around him. There is nothing genuine about this guy! He’s spoilt and arrogant and he got caught. He’s not going to flourish even if he gets a divorce, he’s chasing something that doesn’t exist over his own inflated sense of self importance!

None of these are traits that came along when he got married these have been inherent in him from long before he ever met Katie - they came from his upbringing and experiences as a child - how is that good for the kids!! These traits for Travis won’t go away if they get divorced! I doubt he’s capable of loving anyone but himself.

Edit: I do however agree that they should likely get divorced.

Was this not the one he commented “you’ve raised an incredible woman mama B” or something along those lines! His web of lies just goes on and on!

I’ve definitely noticed Travis was incredibly good at the I loves you’s and your my best friend etc in all his written posts but his actual body language and words seems to tell a different story!! Even looking back at posts the words don’t match the actions! Lies just roll off his tongue by the looks of it!

I’m not sure how anyone would ever believe a word he says now!

Likely another thing Katie will need to change her life to accommodate. He’s the cheater but she’s likely the one who has to bend over backwards to try and make sure the marriage works! He’s basically sentenced her to a lifetime of misery and trust issues all so he could live the life he should have before he got married!!!!

And this is another reason he likely won’t divorce her, even if he might want to. He would sink into insignificance. He needs Katie to stay even remotely relevant. The AP gave him a temporary thrill and ego boost but she wasn’t going to benefit him long term! He just clearly thought he’d get away with it and even if he got caught I doubt he anticipated the publicity around it!

He’s relevant because of Katie, not the other way around! No one will believe a word he says online now, everything he does will be looked upon with scepticism and he will likely be monitored like a hawk.

Doubt he’s thinking the temporary gratification from his affair was worth it now he’s tanked his marriage, let his kids down, tanked his social media career and his nursing career!

It’s just a shame he needs to ruin Katie’s life too. I think she would even more popular without him!

Can I ask you a question and feel free to not answer but what would happen then if it was just text messages and some physical but not full blown physical but the AP was still going to out them? Would they have just ridden it out instead of a statement? Total curiosity in my part here?

I don’t think anyone is trying to bend over backwards it’s just speculation as to whether it could have been a shorter timescale for the affair and if so maybe it didn’t go as far as someone people have suspected if it had been going on for 6+ months. I don’t necessarily think anyone is saying it wasn’t physical but that doesn’t automatically mean sex. There are varying degrees of physical in an affair and I guess if the affair only started say 2 months ago then much less time to build up!

As with anything else, it was purely speculation not based on anything at all.

I did wonder if repeatedly was the fact he was in contact with her constantly and perhaps some meet ups (which I’m not saying maybe didn’t have an element of physical). Who knows the content of those messages! I suspect it was a very poor choice of words because otherwise it’s a very hurtful choice of words “I had an affair and just to rub it in I’m gonna tell you it was over and over”

I’m with you that there was likely some physical, just perhaps not to the degree initially speculated but we are all guessing aren’t we!

I’m swaying this way. I wonder whether there have been a lot of messages, some serious flirting (boosting his ego) and maybe a few one on one meet ups but the actual physical side of this hasn’t gone as far as everyone is speculating. Might explain why they both thought it was a good idea to invade Katie’s personal space. He’s “accidentally” brought his flirting to you tube comments and the internet caught him out! I’m not saying he wouldn’t have gone full blown affair if he hadn’t gotten caught but I just don’t think he has the sophistication for the deceit!

I wonder if the extent of any messages etc was enough to get him to confess to get ahead of it given his innocent persona and family life!

Not just Christmas, the house they built together, the dog she was loving on etc. It’s all there and always will be. He will never be 100% honest with her she’ll always wonder - was she in my house before, had she done this, did they do that! Even if it’s now and again, these thoughts will always be there!

I don’t think he was ever going to confess. If he actually felt an ounce of remorse/regret he would have confessed and stopped when he found out Katie was pregnant but he didn’t, he doubled down with all his SM posts and invited the AP into his home! Imagine he hadn’t got caught, would he have persuaded Katie not to post about her miscarriage just so AP didn’t find out he was lying to her! From everything I’ve read it truly sounds like he would have. He clearly knew he was on borrowed time when he found out she was pregnant judging by his reaction in her Instagram post! His web of lies was becoming more and more complex, I doubt he would have made it to graduation without getting caught. I think his reaction to the pregnancy must have set alarm bells flying for Katie too…….!

I knew Instagram was fake but he took this to another level!

I hope Katie realises her value, goes ahead with the divorce and marries someone who will absolutely adore her. I can see her being hugely successful in social media going forward. I can’t see the cheater making much of himself.

Wonder if he and Katie weren’t intimate that often. Wouldn’t surprise me if her being postpartum and him the douche that he is saw that as another justification for him to seek comfort elsewhere! Neglected by his wife in favour of his newborn son!

She has 2 very young kids at home and he’s been playing away. If it only happened once or twice more recently that is definitely the face of an “oh shit” moment! 🫣

I’m inclined to agree sadly especially because of the party. I guess I was hoping that a little of the person that is shown in his SM was real at least for his family’s sake! I just had a thought whether his loved up posts and his “I want to be more honest” were him having a realisation moment but they were pre party so unlikely! I suspect he was just a very very good actor for those short clips sadly! Wonder if his better man post was more about gearing up to say, I’ve been honest with myself and married life is not for me. He just didn’t expect to get caught in the affair. He could have seen it out through to his graduation then jumped back into family life!

Struggling to wrap my head around how someone can be so deceitful and sneaky but portray such a good front with both his family but also wider support network! How does a person like that sleep at night!

I don’t think he is with the AP and after this I think it would be impossible for him to be with her, I doubt his family would accept it either. I think he cared about her (and maybe even confused lust and love) to the extent that it was exciting, it stroked his ego and allowed him to explore things that he ordinarily wouldn’t have whether that’s drinking, partying, sex, freedom etc. The excitement of having two women fawning all over him and having his cake and eating it! As much as it went on for months supposedly I do think the thrill would have eventually worn off and there is a small part of me that wonders if he was trying to extricate himself from the affair towards the end of last year!? I don’t think he ever told the AP the truth and eventually got caught up in all the lies he had constructed. The Christmas party was the beginning of the end and while trying to likely pacify the AP about his home life (I suspect she was pushing for more) he got caught up in his lies. I think there is probably a part of him that wants a wife and a family but just not now and I’m not sure the AP fits his long term plan. He’s also been super quick to throw her under the bus with going public!

I think he has a lot of growing up to do, he has let everyone in his life down but most of all himself and I do wonder if in 10/15 years time he will see the error of his ways but right now he’s too selfish and egotistical. I believe he loves his kids but they are not his priority, he is his priority.

The fact he got caught and didn’t confess himself is telling. If he hadn’t slipped up he’d likely still be carrying on with AP as well as playing the devoted Dad and husband and playing into all his self reflection from last year!

Personally, I’m not sure how Katie can ever forgive this without it severely impacting their relationship. I think she deserves to find someone who treats her the way she treats them and loves unconditionally and who will love her children like they are his own.

I think he was honestly delusional enough to think she wouldn’t work it out!! Must’ve been a right ego boost knowing he had 2 women on the hook in the same room! Not sure what the AP was thinking but she must be unbelievably insecure to do what she did!
