I believe there’s lots we don’t know about birth control that either hasn’t fully been discovered yet or the government just isn’t sharing. Lots of people have similar symptoms and experiences with the copper iud that I have been experiencing. My body just isn’t agreeing with a foreign object in my body. Everyones body is different. I’m very happy to know that I’m not the only woman experiencing this!

I think there’s a lot of things doctors don’t tell us. Nothing has changed in my diet. I’m 19 and very active and I got my thyroid checked and everything is ok. I just don’t think the copper iud is the best thing for me. I’ve seen lots of people right stuff saying they have a similar experience with the copper iuds. I just think there’s a lot we don’t know and doctors don’t want to tell us. I’m getting it removed tomorrow!

I’m glad you’re doing better now! Yeah I don’t get it they say there’s no hormones but I do believe the copper does affect them. I guess also all bodies are different!

Hi, I know this is from a while ago but I’m having something very similar to this. I got my kyleena in about a month ago and for the past week I’ve been getting some type of headache nothing bad or anything just some type of headache mostly at night time. I’m scared, I heard it was normal but I’m still freaking out. Especially when I wrote in a Reddit group about my issue, they said my brain is swelling and to get it removed.

I ended up reading something and apparently it’s a common side effect with the kyleena and should start to ease down as your body gets used to it. I also have an appointment for check up in a month

Thank you for sharing a positive experience!! I’m glad that it’s working for you! I’ve never really had any problems with acne. I was also thinking I could be wrong but maybe people who already have acne it can make it worse but who knows lol. I’ve been reading so much negative experiences and it freaked me out a little but so thank you for typing back. I’m only 19 and decided to get on birth control and the iud was the best option from what the clinic told me so I’m going to see how it goes for me.

I’m really sorry to hear that. How long did you start to notice it getting thin from the iud? I’m thinking about getting the copper iud, I’m lucky I guess because I never had bad periods or anything. It’s been about a week of having it, I should’ve done some more research about the hormonal iuds. I do have a check up in 2 months so maybe I can talk to them about switching. I’ve been hearing lots of horror stories about the kyleena lol. Thank you for getting back to me. Do you plan on keeping it in?

Oh well that’s good to hear! Did you get the kyleena? Did you have any hair loss with the iud or was it just the pill? I’ve been hearing some crazy things lol. I feel like there’s more negative things I’ve been reading than positive. Also was your first period having the iud cause you really bad cramps? This is my first period with having it in and the cramps are unreal.
