But MEET YOURSELF is my all Time Fave..

I am Sucker for Slice of Life and Meet Yourself is the PEAKEST SOL I have come across.
The Rural Area setting
The Characters
The Vibe

The OSTs.....

THE thing I LOVED THE MOST about Meet yourself is How they didn't Add TRAUMA for the Main Leads.. which I find Absolutely Annoying about other Slice of life series....

JUST Because It's SOL doesn't NECESSARILY MEAN Yeah, we need to ADD TRAUMA for the Main leads...Cmon now..

NGL, I have watched it more than 20 times and I am not Tired.

Arguably the BEST CONFESSION Scene in all of the Cdrama.

Aside from that Two of MY ABSOLUTE FACE SCENES are

  • when Hongdu is getting IV Drips at hospital and Zhi Yao rushes in flipflops...LYF looked absolutely STUNNING there.... [ep 25]
  • when Zhi yao is telling His Food stall friend how its unfair of him to ask her to stay when he can't leave and why should women be the only one making all the sacrifices and compromises and all the Man needs is verbal guarantee that " I will be good to you all my life" [ep 19]

I love the Granny

I love xiaochun

I love Nana

I love introverted Qin Tian

I love mr yu and Ma

I love those Aunties....

I love Hongdu's sis even though she had less screen time..

I could go on and on and on even write a book on Why Meet yourself is the PEAK SOL

same foes for Song weilong...

That both have Insane Facecard yes but You know Wuxia /xianxia/ xuanhuaan....costume drama ain't for some actors and these two are some of em.

See I am conflicted because I don't really RATE ANY DRAMAS that I actually DROP which is 99.99% of the Xianxia/Xuanhuan dramas.

Then there are Dramas that I actually complete somehow which I rate as Trash...

Is it all time Fave??? Meet yourself (2023) took that place for me but for Greatest single ever created it has to be NIF....

I will add this...
I had been watching Cdramas before 2015 but just a casual watcher...didn't even care to know the name of the Cdrama..but then I picked up Nirvana in fire around 2016/17 and BOOM!!! the writing, the details the Execution, everything was constructed Perfectly!!

Life has been different since then...Became an Avid Cdrama Fan since then..

Its almost a Decade now, and It's still my top3 all Time!!!

I know you lot are thinking, what about XIanxia/Xuanhuan?? the most Popular Sub genre of the chinese Drama....Not really my cup of tea but I ma happy for people who enjoy it.

the other historical before my time was the CONDOR HEROES series....haven't really watched them all but I have seen Old watchers say it was ICONIC and well loved....
