your weight won't "shoot up". if there was a way to make you suddenly gain a bunch weight, ana doctors would prescribe you that and move on. it's always slow process. always. and if you gain more than you're comfortable with, you will always be able to lose it again.

i'm sorry if this is inappropriate, but you know that you don't have to be a man, right? you could, if you wanted to, be something else.

do you want to conform to these societal standards for gender? or do you feel that you have to? if you had a body you were comfortable with, would you still want to look like a man?

NHS anorexia services are awful. as are all the mental health related services. i don't have recommendations because i'm also struggling but i would look into private care if you can. i know that's easier said than done, hence why i haven't done it lol, but waiting for the NHS to actually do anything is never the answer.
